Still in high season, September is a very warm month in Negril, Jamaica, and is much preferred by many tourists over the busier summer months. The sea temperature stays at 29 degrees Celsius, perfect for spending whole days next to Negril's azure waters.  Daytime temperatures are also very inviting, with high peaks never going above 30 degrees and low peaks staying around 24 degrees.

Negril's Seven Mile Beach is the island's finest, which spans for "more than seven miles" according to several travel magazines. The waters at Negril are always warm and the beauty of the place has been largely untouched by modern civilisation, giving Negril an authentic subtropical charm.

The sun shines for 10 hours daily, although the sky is often a bit cloudy. September is one of the rainiest months in Negril, with a total precipitation at around 181 mm and 14 days seeing some form of light rain over the island of Jamaica. Thankfully, these rainfalls are warm and brief enough to actually be pleasant, rather than deterring to the tourists who visit the famous resort during September.

The CocoLaPalm Resort is one of the most desirable budget hotels to stay in during September. A slice of heaven right on Negril's famous beach, the CocoLaPalm stands out thanks to its locally inspired architecture, lush gardens and extremely polite staff (even by local standards) that will see to your every need. The resort is scenic and definitely romantic, making it a prime destination for honeymooners.

Besides the beautiful seven-mile beach of Negril, there are several places to unwind nearby. Montego Bay is home to the Rose Hall, a calm beach that's just a few steps' away from the Iberostar and the Hilton Rose Hall. Next to Montego Bay is Doctor's Cave Beach, a paid beach with a clubhouse, beach bar and other typical facilities.

If you'd rather head away from the crowds, look up Treasure Beach on the south coast of Jamaica. It's a much slower, laid-back community, with fishers and farmers--a great chance to mingle with the locals.

Demanding gourmands and hungry tourists alike converge in the culinary hub known as the 3 Dives Restaurant. Local and international dishes are masterfully served for everyone to enjoy, and the prices are affordable enough to get everyone come back for seconds!

For those seeking to enjoy Negril's vibrant nightlife, the Jungle disco and sports bar is definitely the place to go when the sun goes down. Repeatedly voted as "The Best Nightclub in the Caribbean", the Jungle is a hot and sexy Caribbean club that attracts classy tourists and party-loving locals alike. Drinks are cheap and fun is aplenty at the Jungle, where the music NEVER stops throughout the whole tourist season.

Considered by many to be the definite snorkeler's paradise, the Blue Cave Castle hotel is an exciting resort that promises you an unforgettable stay in the heart of summer. Aptly named after the extensive cave system that lies beneath it, the Blue Cave Castle offers a breathtaking view over the Caribbean as well as the promise of adventure and exploration for those who dare venture in the magical caves that lie there. Snorkeler's love the place as many caves are only reachable by just a little diving and there are many secret spots that are only accessible by snorkeling there.

Adventurers and explorers should keep an eye out for Rusty's X-Cellent Adventures. Rusty offers the best biking deals in the whole of Negril.
