Negril is Jamaica's most famous beach resort and one of the most iconic coastlines in the world. Negril's famous most famous beach has become synonymous with perfect weather, spotless skies and Caribbean entertainment.

In July, Negril remains neither too hot nor too cold for comfort, allowing visitors to fully enjoys what this exotic place has to offer. During the month, temperatures never go above 30 degrees Celsius while rarely dropping below 24 degrees.  The sun shines for 11 hours of the day and during July not much rain is expected. Nonetheless, rain comes in the form of subtropical storms that come and go in the blink of an eye, although thankfully, this month's rain won't overly impact on your holiday.

Considered by many to be the definite snorkeler's paradise, the Blue Cave Castle hotel is an exciting resort that promises you an unforgettable stay in the heart of summer. Aptly named after the extensive cave system that lies beneath it, the Blue Cave Castle offers a breathtaking view over the Caribbean as well as the promise of adventure and exploration for those who dare venture in the magical caves that lie there. Snorkellers love the place as many caves are only reachable by just a little diving and there are many secret spots that are only accessible by snorkeling there.

The Seastar Inn is a budget hotel located just metres from the beach. The hotel may offer discount accommodation but the number of complementary services such as WiFi, breakfast, phones with unlimited local and long distance call capacity, free beach shuttles (to get you to the beach) and more, will definitely leave you impressed. Each Saturday night, the Seastar hosts the "Saturday Night One Love Reggae Show," a one of a kind party with Seastar drummers, various guest artists and the sexy Seastar dancers!

Luxurious accommodation doesn't have to be expensive, especially during off-season, Travellers Beach Resort (Norman Manley Blvd) is a case in point; offering budget accommodation even in peak season.  A fancy hotel, the Travellers Beach Resort offers astounding value for money thanks to its numerous amenities and top tier facilities that make many tourists consider it a home away from home. The hotel is equipped with a spa, salon, fitness centre, swim-up pool bar, nightly entertainment, and a restaurant serving both local and international cuisine. Rooms range from standard and deluxe to larger suites and cabins to families or couples looking for a bit extra comfort. Negril's Seven Mile Beach is also popular for destination weddings, and you can hire a top-notch coordinator from Travellers, complete with wedding or honeymoon package.

Besides the beautiful seven-mile beach of Negril, there are several places to unwind nearby. Montego Bay is home to the Rose Hall, a calm beach that's just a few steps' away from the Iberostar and the Hilton Rose Hall. Next to Montego Bay is Doctor's Cave Beach, a paid beach with a clubhouse, beach bar and other typical facilities.

If you'd rather head away from the crowds, look up Treasure Beach on the south coast of Jamaica. It's a much slower, laid-back community, with fishers and farmers--a great chance to mingle with the locals.

The sea stays at a comfortable 29 degrees Celsius, giving visitors the perfect conditions for seaside activities including surfing, sailing, diving, sunbathing and more.

Murphy's West End Restaurant (West End) is a popular spot for gracious service and delicious lobster. The open kitchen serves fresh fish, devil chicken, sweet potato mash and callaloo. Zimbali's Mountain Cooking Studio (Canaan Mountain) is a unique facility that combines an organic dinner and a farm tour of "real" Jamaica. The restaurant is located in the rainforest, so be sure to pack some good shoes!

Just Natural (Hylton Avenue) is a restaurant that serves fresh, healthy and affordable dishes daily, some vegan. You can find anything from fruit and vegetable dishes to unique juices to freshly picked ingredients from the garden. Certainly a change from typical meat and rice fare!

Demanding gourmands and hungry tourists alike converge in the culinary hub known as the 3 Dives Restaurant. Local and international dishes are masterfully served for everyone to enjoy, and the prices are affordable enough to get everyone come back for seconds!

For those who wish some outdoors fun but aren't up to the challenge of exploring caves with snorkelling, Bloody Bay presents a good (and milder) alternative. Contrary to its name, Bloody Bay is a relaxing beach that is largely isolated from the mainstream tourism circuit, and even in July it is visited only by a handful of tourists at a time; perfect for some secluded sunbathing.
