Temperature
The coldest month of the year in Nassau is January, and whilst the word 'cold' may be enough to put you off, wait right there! Cold is never truly cold in The Bahamas, and during the first month of the year the average temperature is a very mild 21°C. This time of year is a popular time to head to the island's capital, crowds are slightly lower, with the peak season coming a little later in the year, temperatures mild enough to allow exploration much easier than when the soaring temperatures arrive. Cabbage Beach
Nassau has several beaches, many of which are uncrowded, as there are so many to choose from. Things to Do in Nassau in January
Aquaventure Water Park
Most of the activities in The Bahamas are certainly water-based, and considering this is a hot and sunny island, the water will give you a welcome cool down! Aquaventure Water Park at Atlantis Paradise Island is a great day out for all the family, with large pools and water slides. There is an aquarium with many different species of marine life to enjoy, and the river rapid is a fun experience a quarter mile long. If you want to chill out and enjoy the sun for a short time, there are many sun-loungers around the water side.
Blue Lagoon Island
Continuing with the wet theme, Blue Lagoon Island offers some seriously fun days out. Either sit and enjoy the scenery, swinging in a hammock and enjoying a drink and some delicious local food, or enjoy one of the experiences on offer, such as a dolphin swim. This is the ideal place to get away from every day life, and you truly will feel as though you have been castaway.
Segway Safari Tour
The Segway Safari Tour is a great experience; you are transported to a private island on a 30 minutes' boat tour, and then you are set free to explore on Segway, with the help of a private guide.
