What's the weather like in Naples in February
The month of love is certainly a wonderful time to visit Naples, and with romantic architecture and a very sophisticated vibe in the air, a break during Cupid's peak time could be the ideal weekend away.
Temperature
Despite the fact that winter is still in the air, you can expect an average monthly temperature of 9°C during February, which easily reaches an average high of 13°C during the warmer days.
Sunshine Hours
The sun comes out for around 4 hours per day; this may not sound a lot, but when the sun shines, it certainly has its hat on!
Naples experiences an average low temperature of around 5°C during the evenings, so wrapping up warm is advisable if you're heading off to explore Naples in the evening, which is certainly something you should be doing.
Rainfall
The downside however is that rain is slightly increased in comparison to the last couple of months, with an average 100mm of precipitation throughout the month, which affects on average around 9 days.
Sea Temperature
If you feel the need to head the beach, perhaps swimming is not the best idea just yet, as the average sea temperature during February is a chilly 14°C, meaning land-based activities are best at this time of year.

Things to do in Naples in February
The beauty of Naples is evident all year around, however during February, the traditional month of love with a capital L, you can appreciate the romantic architecture and vibe around the city much more.
Via San Gregorio Armeno
If you are visiting with a loved one, or simply on your own, then don't miss Via San Gregorio Armeno. This is a narrow street in the old historic part of Naples, which is decorated with beautiful architecture, and colourful Nativity scenes on both sides. Along this street you will also find small boutique stores and quaint gift shops, which offer the perfect opportunity to pick up a souvenir for those back home, or perhaps a gift for your significant other.
Via Caracciolo e Lungomare di Napoli
Of course, we can't forget that Naples isn't only a city of wonderful history and architecture, but also a city steeped in nature and beautiful natural sights. Head to Via Caracciolo e Lungomare di Napoli for one of the most beautiful views you will ever set your eyes on, right over the water and up to Mount Vesuvius in the distance, over Capo Posillipo. The light changes as the day passes, giving the view a different take. Very romantic, very beautiful, and certainly one for the camera.
Gesu Nuovo Church
For beauty in a more man-made way, it has to be Gesu Nuovo Church. Naples is full of beautiful buildings, we can't deny this fact, but this particular church has some of the most stunningly beautifully decorated ceilings you will ever see. You will no doubt spend most of your time walking around looking upwards, however don't miss the highly recommended Guiseppe Moscatti room of the building.
Heading off to explore Naples and the surrounding area is made easy by a simple public transport network, so you have no excuse not to get out and about.
