Saint Louis Square Park
Famous for vintage Victorian residences built a hundred years ago that face the Saint Louis Square Park, this urban square in Montreal's Plateau Mont Royal features a gorgeous cast iron Victorian fountain as its centrepiece. This lovely park is located right near the Sherbrook Metro stop on St Denis Street and is a restful spot in a busy, trendy neighbourhood. The Saint Louis Park is worth a visit if you love architecture and a cosy walk through the heart of nature. With some brilliant restaurants and cafes nearby, you can always visit this Victorian Park for a stroll, or sit down for some relaxation before you head for dinner or a bite at the café.
Montreal Botanical Garden
Montreal Botanical Garden is a large botanical garden composed of 75 hectares of large thematic gardens and greenhouses that is worth a visit during spring. During the month of May, the park hosts a "butterflies fly free" exhibit, a welcome feature to celebrate the spring with joy. The indoor gardens of orchids, tulips, cherry blossoms and other colourful blooming flowers, bonsai plants, the lovely and intriguing butterfly section and the insectarium makes this a brilliant place for a photo taking adventure. Bonsecours market
Bonsecours market is a two-story domed public market and also the main public market in the whole of Montreal. This market overlooks the Saint Lawrence River and sells many different types of fresh produce, an eclectic mix of stores and boutiques, authentic souvenirs, beautiful Canadian jewellery, clothes, toys, maple products and artisan items. This market makes for a great shopping destination for tourists and features many different food festivals and events like the wine festival for local producers, exhibitions, touristy shops and some great restaurants. Being a tourist destination, the goods maybe overpriced at times, but still this is a good choice for an interesting shopping spree.
