What's The Wether Like In Monte Carlo In October

Most people are surprised to learn that October does not mean the end of swimming season in Monte Carlo. It is true that the air temperatures are lower, and nights can be quite cool, but the Mediterranean Sea stays quite warm through this autumn month and it can be the perfect time for a holiday to this pristine coastline.

Temperature

The average temperature hovers at 18°C (64°F), and there are October days that see afternoon temperatures well above 21°C (70°F). October nights require a jacket, perhaps more, but that does not make the sunset from a terrace or waterfront restaurant any less impressive.

Mild and comfortable temperatures make October an impeccable time to be outside and active in and around Monte Carlo. The average high temperature in October is 20°C (68°F) and the average low temperature is a very pleasant 16°C (61°F). Sunlight for an average of 9 hours a day also entices visitors and locals alike to be outside, whether for a stroll through Monaco-Ville or taking a hike in the nearby inland hills.

Sea Temperature

Unlike the following winter months, throughout the month of October many visitors still go for a swim at Larvotto Beach or take a dip off the bow of a boat. The sea temperature often cooperates, with an average temperature of 20°C (68°F), and while some may want a wetsuit for deeper diving or snorkelling, those wanting to wade near the shore or float along the surface will often find the water temperature delightful.

Rain

In October the chance of precipitation is higher than earlier in the autumn, with an average of 113 mm of rainfall. However, this is less than the following month of November. As well, October only has 7 rain days on average, and it is very rare that an entire October day is rainy.

Monte Carlo Hotels In October

 Columbus Monte Carlo

A stay at a hotel owned by a fast-driving Formula 1 driver sounds like it would be a wild and flashy experience, however, the Columbus Monte Carlo, owned by racing driver David Coulthard, delivers a guest experience that is cool, calm and chic. The Columbus Monte Carlo opened in 2001 in the Fontvieille area of Monte Carlo. With a focus on simplicity, and ironically, unhurried lifestyle, the Columbus Monte Carlo provides guests with a refreshing alternative to the opulent hotels of Monte Carlo.

Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo

Every detail has been thoughtfully executed at the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo. The history of the hotel dates to 1886, and the fairy tale quality of the architecture and spacious guest rooms reflects this rich past. However, the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo hopes to provide a modern, luxury experience within a classically beautiful building. A 2004 renovation effectuated this vision by updating the guest rooms and lobby, without sacrificing the timeless quality and design of this Monte Carlo establishment.

Bars And Resturants

Le Vistamar

Le Vistamar is famous for serving fresh, locally caught seafood. The restaurant is proud to serve seafood caught by Gerard Rinaldi, the only remaining fishing family in Monaco. Chef Pierre Yves Rochon proudly prepares the fresh fish to create gourmet dishes. There is a set menu served for lunch, and a variety of seasonal dishes for dinner. Attire is informal and the delicious food served in a relaxed environment. A beautiful terrace completes Le Vistamar as a celebration of life along the Cote d'Azur.

Mozza

Mediterranean food dominates the culinary scene in Monte Carlo, but a second look reveals menus from across the globe are available throughout the city. Mozza serves up authentic Italian cuisine from a location on the Boulevard du Larvotto. In addition to classic Italian pastas, there are also spicy burgers (which receive rave reviews) and pizza.

 Lo Sfizio

Similarly, Lo Sfizio brings the tastes of Rome to the Principality of Monaco. The restaurant seats up to 75 for dinner service, and the menu is full of delicious Italian food. At Lo Sfizio, the wine flows freely and the pastas are exquisite, ensuring that no one leaves hungry.
