Playa de Macenas
It's still warm enough to swim with average sea temperatures of 21°C, so don't miss out on a visit to one of the great beaches while you are here. The Playa de Macenas is next to an old tower which was built while King Carlos III was on the throne, which you can still see today. It's also the area from where you can take a path to some protected beaches.
These protected beaches are not the place to go for water sports, or with children. They are beautiful spaces of untouched sand which are to be conserved as much as possible. They are given over to nature with no human interference, and so there are no facilities there. They are very beautiful however just be sure to respect them if you do visit.

Tito's Beach Bar
If you are strolling along the sand and get hungry, try Tito's Beach Bar. This successful gastropub offers traditional Spanish tapas and similar fare, and has been celebrated enough to launch two other local ventures. Even when it is out of season, you can also visit their sister venues, making this a potential favourite brand.
La Candela
If you are vegan or vegetarian, you will feel at home in La Candela. This cosy venue offers bright décor and a cheerful setting, all the more so since a recent refurbishment to improve their facilities. The staff will make you feel very much at home no matter what your dietary requirements are, and you can catch some live entertainment from time to time too.
Beachcomber Restaurant
You can also try the Beachcomber Restaurant for seafood and some British cuisine. Fish and chips always goes down a treat after a walk on the beach! Enjoy the sea spray on a terrace and head right back down to the sand again once you have finished your meal.
