What's the weather like in Mojacar in August?
As the joint hottest month of the year, you can be sure that August is the best time to visit Mojacar if you want to go home with a tan. Unfortunately, this also means that it is the most popular time for everyone else to come down for a holiday, so you will see the resort becoming a little more crowded than the off-peak season. Still, the weather more than makes up for it!
Sea Temperature
Spain is very popular with tourists in the summer, and it's easy to see why when you take a dip in the sea. Average temperatures of 25°C are to be expected, which makes this the perfect time for a swim.
Temperature
If you are coming out of the water, don't forget to top up your suntan lotion, as the daily average hits a hot 25°C to match. Highs can go all the way up to 28°C and even when it's what would be considered a cold day, the lows only hit about 21°C. Could it get any better?
Rain
Well, yes because there's also some great news about how much rainfall you can expect. Together with July, you will see the least rainfall over this summer period: just 1mm throughout the whole month, and even that small amount is spread over three days.
Sunshine Hours
It's not like the days are short, either: an average of 13 hours of sunshine a day really explains how the heat builds up. The whole country is great to visit at this time of year, with resorts along the coast like Castillo Galeras also experiencing comparable temperatures. This means that a day trip is not going to result in any unpleasant surprises on the weather front! On the other hand, you could just stay right outside your hotel and bask in the sun if that's what you want to do.
