Weather Lowdown
April in Mogan is characterised by gradually increasing daytime temperatures and drier conditions than earlier in the year. With summer rapidly approaching, average temperatures are now at 20°C, while average high and low temperatures are between a mild overnight low of 17°C and a warm daytime high of 23°C. These temperatures are very much like Crete in Greece and are perfect for days wandering around the town and the harbour, enjoying an early summer drink by the ocean. The crowds are still smaller in this month so visitors who can get to the resort at this time of year are rewarded with beautiful weather and fewer tourists.
As the days get longer by around 45 minutes from the start of the month to the end, the daily sunshine hours increases to 11 hours a day, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the area. The sun rises in early April at around 7.50am and the sunset is at 8.20pm. Sea temperatures have not warmed up to summer levels yet, but are still mild at 19°C. Windy days occur at times, with wind speeds ranging from 3 m/s to 11 m/s and some days becoming very breezy with wind speeds reaching as high as 4 m/s.
Humidity is not a cause for concern at this time of year, with 50% to 85% humidity, the resort's drier climate means humidity does not reach uncomfortable levels year-round. It is unlikely that rain will spoil a visit in this month, but have a look at the forecast before travelling to make sure you bring the right clothes for the weather. The average rainfall is just 6mm falling over 4 days in the month, slightly drier than the warmer month of September but not as dry as the summer months.
