What's the Weather Like in Miami in December
Temperature
December is the tail end of the year and also of the weather here in Miami. The weather turns colder for the holiday season, but not too cold the average daily temperature is still 21°C.
High/Low Temperature
You will see average highs of 24°C and average lows of 17°C, which is certainly a mild winter by the standards of most countries. Throughout the US, you will absolutely find much colder places to spend the winter. This makes Miami a perfect destination for some winter sun.
Sunshine
This is one of the wintriest times of the year to visit Miami, as the city only experiences an average of 6 hours of sunshine daily. However, its relatively close location to the equatorial region means that sunlight levels are consistent throughout the year and seasonal variations are much less pronounced than other parts of America and Europe.
It may only be winter, but don't forget to take care of your skin. Sunscreen is still a must, and you may be surprised at how your skin can burn even at the end of the year here!
Rain
The good news is that this is the driest month of the year, with just 7 days of rainfall on average and 51mm of water falling during that time. This means that even when it does rain, it will be either gentle or short-lived.
Sea Temperatures
While resorts like Orlando may get more attention at this time of year thanks to their year-round attractions, you can definitely find a lot to do in this city as well.
If you are used to a colder climate, you can even still enjoy the chance to swim in the sea, with the average water temperature staying warmer than the air at 25°C. That could make for a pretty comfortable swim, though be aware that you will feel cold when you get out of the water.
Humidity
The good news is that the tropical storm season is over, meaning lower levels of humidity in the air and less chance of a storm ruining your plans. There is also very little chance of snow, as this has only happened once in the records of the city. Instead, your break will simply be a comfortable one.
