Things to do in Menorca in March

A trip to Menorca isn't complete without visiting Monte Toro the highest point in Menorca. This mountain rises 352m above sea level and on a clear day rewards visitors with incredible panoramic views across the whole of the island, so make sure you take your camera with you. Many agree that the highlight of the area is the statue of the Virgin, although non-religious people should make the trip, too, if only to admire the views. At the top of Monte Toro, you'll also find a small convent which is home to several nuns. Be warned the roads can be rather precarious driving up to Monte Toro, so you'll need a lot of confidence!

If the weather is a bit overcast, while away a few hours by wandering around Lithica. This architectural attraction is divided into various different sections, providing something for everyone to enjoy. Here you'll find an ancient limestone quarry, Medieval-inspired garden, ecological nature reserve and gift shop. Unfortunately, tours of the site aren't yet available in English, but you are provided with a map of Lithica when you enter the site, to help you make sense of the place. There's no café here, so you'll need to bring your own food and drinks if you think you'll need them.

One of the best ways to see what Menorca has to offer is on horseback. Menorca a Cavall offers a number of horse riding excursions, each of which caters for different abilities and interests. There are countryside itineraries, beach visits and several longer excursions which combine the two. If you're looking for a more complete horse riding experience, sign up for one of the trails. Each of the trails lasts between one and two days and they're suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike, which means no one needs to be left out.
