What's the Weather Like in Meloneras in October

October may be the end of the hottest weather in Meloneras, but that certainly does not mean you should avoid the resort during this time. In fact, temperatures are still high and there is plenty to enjoy in this resort, with great weather extending through into the autumn months.

Temperature

The average daily temperature stands at 23°C, which is still very respectable even if it is lower than the 24°C of September. The good news is that the daily highs and lows can still provide very hot days, with a range of 25°C to 20°C. You can certainly enjoy some days spent on the beach at this time of year, and you will want to take a dip in the sea too: the average water temperature is 23°C, the perfect temperature for a relaxing swim.

Sunshine

There are still an average of 10 hours of sunshine per day, though there may be a few occasions when the weather darkens prematurely: 10mm of rain will fall during this month. This is actually a very small amount, and even though it is ten times what you might see in the dry season, in fact it adds up to only a tiny fraction of what you would see in other parts of the world. The Canary Islands tend to be quite dry in general, which is the perfect complement to their hot summers and one of the main reasons why they are such a popular holiday destination.

Rainfall

There will only be 7 days of rain on average, so under a third of the month will be wet good odds if you are looking for a holiday that is mostly dry. You can keep an eye on the weather forecast to be absolutely sure that you are dressed appropriately for the day before heading out on an excursion or your own explorations.

Hotels in Meloneras in October

Meloneras Suites

The Meloneras Suites are a great option for those who want to stay in a quiet area, so it is perfect for couples or older families. An outdoor swimming pool is attached to these bungalows and reserved for their use, and each has their own fully-equipped kitchen so that you can prepare your own food. You can live independently during your holiday with these suites.

H10 Playa Meloneras Palace

The H10 Playa Meloneras Palace, on the other hand, offers a beautiful infinity pool area where you can enjoy the October sun in a 5-star resort. It offers free Wi-Fi, games areas for kids, a Jacuzzi, a boutique, laundry service, and seven different restaurants and bars. That's before we even get to the spa and entertainment facilities!

Chiripa Hotel

The Chiripa hotel is another option you can try if you are on a budget. There is a cheap and cheerful atmosphere here, close by the beach rather than offering a pool, and with balconies available on some of the rooms. It is favoured by international travellers who want to save money and go out to explore rather than staying in the hotel every night.

Hit the Beach

Playa San Agustin

The sea is really pleasant at this time of year, with the average water temperature being 23°C, and it's really nice to lay out on the sand of the beach as well. If you get to the Playa Maspalomas and head north along the coastline, you will soon arrive at a smaller beach: Playa San Agustin.

This beach is rarely crowded, which means you can really enjoy it even in peak tourist seasons. It is separated from the preceding beaches by a small section of rocky land, but once you are over this, golden sands reign once more. It can get windy here, but keeping an eye on the lifeguards and any warning signals will keep you safe in all weather conditions.

Bars and Restaurants

Pili Pili

Pili Pili serves pizza and pasta presented perfectly. It's a great place for families to enjoy Italian food, and there is no strict dress code thanks to the fact that it is close by a pool area at the Lopesan Baobab Resort. They also allow takeaway orders if you would like to purchase a pizza and then eat it elsewhere, though other dishes are not included.

La Pampa Grill Restaurante

La Pampa Grill Restaurante offers Spanish and South American grill and barbecue dishes. You will find it on the second floor of the Centro Comercial Varadero, so shopping opportunities abound! You can have a hearty dinner here, so don't plan to hit the shops afterwards as you may find you are overfull.

Las Rias

Las Rias is a seafood restaurant in the Boulevard El Faro shopping centre. You may be well advised to book ahead, as it is a popular and upmarket choice. Some of their speciality dishes include octopus, lobster, sea bass, and milk-fed lamb. They are a good option for celebrating a special occasion, or just enjoying a lavish night of great food.

Things to Do in Meloneras in October

Fish On

The hot weather in October means there is no problem with staying out on the water for a while, so grabbing a seat on the Fish On boat could be a great idea for a day's entertainment. They have three different types of fishing available which will result in different kinds of catches. You can rent one seat on the boat and one rod, or you can hire out the full boat for more privacy.

Health Club Open Air Gym

The Health Club Open Air Gym is a great option for those who like to keep fit even when they are on holiday. They run classes at a daily or weekly rate, and you can pop in just as a one off visit without having to pay huge fees. They are very friendly towards tourists as well!

Antiguedades Triana

The Antiguedades Triana is a great place to go shopping, more in the town area and away from the beach, where you will find more than just the usual tourist souvenirs. You will find antique items and curios here, and it is also close by an area with a lot of restaurants and cafes for refreshments.
