What's the Weather Like in Meloneras in November
Sunshine
By the time November comes around, the summer is over, but don't expect this to be a cold and dull month. Meloneras has plenty of great weather still up its sleeve before the end of the year! 9 hours of sunshine a day means that the nights are drawing in and the weather dropping a little thanks to the lower levels of sunlight, but there is still a powerful heat generated during these long daylight hours, considering northern Europe probably sees around 5 hours a day at this time of year.
Temperature
A daily average temperature of 21°C is sustained for this month, which is certainly a very comfortable temperature for most holidaymakers. Highs of 23°C and lows of 18°C bookend the weather figures. Even on what is considered to be a cold day for this time of year, you will get away with walking around in just a t-shirt and shorts without feeling chilly.
Sea Temperature
The sea is also still a great place to spend some time, with average water temperatures of 22°C.
Rainfall
The one thing that you will need to keep an eye out for is the wet weather: an average of 21mm of rain will fall this month, making it one of the wettest of the year. It is only just behind February for the title of most rainfall, although this of course is still hardly much. It will fall across 8 days, so you may be able to avoid it entirely with some lucky timing. Keep checking the weather forecast on a daily basis to ensure that you plan your trip well and avoid the worst of it on your days out.
The Canary Islands generally see good weather all year round, so it should be no surprise that they have plenty to offer even in November. If the cold weather at home is getting you down, then you can escape the winter here and enjoy a hot sun again.

Hit the Beach
Playa Burro
Playa Burro is a great place to visit at this time of year, as average water temperatures of 22°C combined with a sheltered location make this a fantastic beach hideaway pretty unbelievable considering this is a 'winter' month elsewhere! This little stretch of beach can be found if you walk east from the Meloneras sands, and is only a short distance away.
It is just 300 metres long, but usually quiet because it is more of a local's beach. Be aware that it will be busier on Saturdays and may be crowded on Sundays, as the locals will get off work for the weekend and head down to the sand! This is a generally safe beach, with a flag system in place in case of bad weather red flag means do not swim. This beach has a very interesting history, as the crew of a German submarine were brought ashore here after it was sunk in the Second World War. It was then just a fishing beach rather than a tourist one, and the only person in the town with a car had to be drafted in to drive an officer to the local hospital.
