What's the Weather Like in Meloneras in April
Temperature
When April comes to Meloneras, spring is certainly in full swing. The average daily temperature will now rise to 19°C, which means we are getting closer and closer to the hot summer months for which this part of the world is known. This is going to result in average high and low points which rest between 21°C and 16°C, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors without feeling too cold.
Sunshine
The days also get longer at this time of year, with an average of 11 hours of sunshine a day. That is great news for those who want to bask in the sun, as well as those who want to get out and explore the resort in the daylight. Whether you stay closer to your hotel or go out to explore big landmarks and local attractions, the Canary Islands always offer plenty to entertain.
Rainfall
Only 6mm of rain will fall this month, covering just 5 days, so you can guess that the rain will not fall for long or too heavily even when it does come. This is also great news for exploring beyond the walls of your hotel!
Sea Temperature
The average sea temperature remains steady at 19°C, but the good news here is that you will not feel as much of a change when you leave the water now. With both the air and the sea around the same level, you won't be shivering until you get dryand May will see a raise in water temperatures.
This time of year will see more tourists start to flock to the area for their holidays, particularly over the Easter period and beyond. While the resort will not yet be as crowded as it will be in the summer months, it is no longer at its quietest point either.

Hit the Beach
Playa Anfi
Playa Anfi is a beautiful beach just half an hour away from Meloneras, and with average sea temperatures of 19°C, it's worth the trip to see what it has to offer. It was created at great expense by Norwegian billionaire Bjorn Lyng, who flew in white sand especially, as a showcase for his Anfi Del Mar resort but the law in Gran Canaria states there are no private beaches, so everyone is welcome to come and walk on this stretch of imported sand.
During the week it can be very peaceful, and this beach has plenty of entertainment for families. You can rent pedalos, shop or dine at the boutiques and restaurants that line the shore, and enjoy calm waters. You can park very easily here, so if you have rented a car during your stay, it is a clear winner.
