We enjoyed the holiday but unfortunately were treated very badly by property owner and agency manager of holiday lettings - please see full review below
DO NOT BOOK THIS VILLA 2918 Calle Brougham VALID INFO AND PHOTO EVIDENCE IF REQUIRED
Arrived at 2918 Calle Brougham Mazarron country club… lovely complex and not too far from amazing beaches – having our own villa we expected to be given info on local supermarkets, restaurants best beaches and things for children to do – also no info on how to use the boiler, we were also handed a number of keys had no idea what these were all for (no information pack whatsoever!!!)
After agency manager made it clear he was not available 24 hours a day and he rushed off only having given us info on paying our electric. We had a list of issues with property (listed below) which the agency manager would have seen for himself had he hang around
• TV did not work – engineer called out twice (we had to wait in for both times) told broken – no apologies from either the owner or agency manager and no replacement over our ten day stay– ipads needed charging daily for children to use which used a lot of our electricity– we tried to contact agency manager but it would take him a couple of days to get back to us so we gave up and went through trip adviser and the owner (owner not helpful at all just saying they could not do anything and property manager was dealing with everything – which he clearly wasn’t)
• Broken sun chair and parasol – both replaced quickly and both in perfect working condition when we left the property (this would have been apparent to the property manager if he had turned up on the last day to see us off – instead used the excuse of his car breaking down!!!)
• No cover on one of the fans inside the property (eldest daughter caught her harm on the blades which left a sore red mark for a couple of days)
• Disgusting covers on sun loungers very stained, broken and loose tiles on back door step, a few sharp tiles missing in pool which had sharp edges
• Bed linen did not smell clean so I washed before using only to find (and I was almost sick) yellow stinking pillows – we left these with the cleaners that turned up at the last day and they assured us they would pass onto the owner (we heard nothing!!)
• Dirty mirror in bathroom with the message “hello gay boy†appearing on the mirror after the steam hit it (obviously hadn’t been cleaned since last tenant or even one before)
• Dirty cutlery and saucepans – had to wash everything before use
• Black damp patches in some of the rooms (mainly in unused bedroom but this is normally an indication that there would more around the property
We informed the owner and manager of these issues and the least we would have expected was a refund for cleaning (cleaning charge is 65 euros and some sort of compensation for no TV – instead we were told that 55 euros was coming out of our deposit as the new parasol they replaced was broken. FURIOUS is not the word the Parasol was in perfect working condition when we left (I know as I put the parasols down every night as per instructions to avoid damage) – It took the manager 7DAYS to inform us the parasol was broken and he did this AFTER we had made our complaints.Recommend Mazarron to others?

Generally pretty good but avoid Mazarron country club No 2918 Calle brougham....Poor Manager in place (Simon Scofield) No help whatsoever...on meeting him he stated " Contrary to belief I am not contactable 24/7 " and he was right ...we had numerous issues and took a whole week just to reply to an email
The owner was also terrible as when contacted re issues including Dirty cutlery, Damp in the property , broken sun beds, Fans and a TV that didnt work for the whole stay she stated it wasnt her problem and it was down to Simon Schofield and Spanish Rentals....
Then after refusing to give any compensation at the end of the holiday they billed us for a damaged Parasol ....!!!
SHOCKING AVOID..Recommend Mazarron to others?

My holiday at Camposol near Mazarron

The weather was beautiful, especially when we could see the weather on the tv back in the UK!
This coast has over 300 days of sunshine every year.
It was blue skies and sunsine every day and the evenings are sublime as you can sit outside and its very comfortable.
It could get very hot during the day but we had the pool and the shade on the villa veranda to cool us down.Holiday
We stayed in a private villa on Camposol Sector D. It was beautifully presented and had all amenties.
The pool was gorgeous and was cleaned twice a week whilst we were there.
Camposol has everything you need - bars, restaurants, ten pin bowling, souvenier shops and then its only 15 mins drive to the lovely Puerto de Mazarron which is very Spanish.
The beaches are lovely and the marina is great to have a glass of wine and 'people-watch'.
The local markets are busy and full of bargains. The golf course on Camposol is known for its excellence.
The nightlife is more suitable for families. There is a nightclub in the local town which is very popular.Recommend Mazarron to others?

Weather
The weather was beautiful, cloudless sky and warm summer evenings. Great for eating outdoors. The temperature was a constant 25-26 degrees, great for September.
Holiday
The beaches were lovely & child friendly. Although we stayed away from the coast the weather was still great. They call it the warm coast. And it was.

My holiday in Mazarron

We went to Mazarron in October 2008 for one week and enjoyed it very much. The weather was beautiful and went in our private outdoor pool nearly everyday. The villa we hired was at the Mazarron Country Club and the site and villa was clean and very tidy, although the shared pool and the tennis courts were closed when we were there, they did look very appealing. We would go again and the food was good, varied and cheap.
Holiday
The only downside to the holiday was there wasn't any shops on site for bread and milk but there is a supermarket 10 minutes drive away and after the long journey down from Valencia Airport (easier to fly to Murcia or Alicante airports) our site took some finding as it was signposted as the 'Urbanisation Country Club' and not 'Mazarron Country Club' as advertised.
