September is the tail end of the summer, but the good weather continues and the nightlife is still ongoing.

The gradual slowdown of summer activity in Malia sees many of the tourists leaving the area, which can mean it's possible to find cheap, end of season deals on accommodation.

Despite the fact the end of summer is approaching, the weather will still be warm enough to hit the beach and take advantage of the many different sports and activities going on. Parasailing and jet skiing are among the water sports on offer.

Scuba diving is one of the main activities in Malia and anyone from beginners to experienced divers can try out the sport in Malia, with a number of PADI certified dive schools in the area.

Those that have come to take advantage of the legendary nightlife won't be disappointed, with a huge number of bars and clubs in the area, offering everything from foam parties to top international acts playing the venues. Candy Club is one of Malia's biggest and most popular clubs and a must visit for anyone into the partying scene.

Away from the beach and the nightlife, Malia is a great holiday destination for those that are looking for a more active holiday. The nearby Troodos Mountain range offers everything from hiking and trekking trails to gentle walks that wind through the native villages.

The Ariadne Beach Hotel is a fantastic option when looking for accommodation that is located right on the beachfront. The low room rates are also ideal for anyone travelling on a budget.
