July in Lourdes is both beautiful and warm.

Along with August, July is one of the hottest months of the year in this French city.

The average low temperature in July is 59 degrees Fahrenheit while the average high is 81 degrees Fahrenheit.  Although there is not very much total precipitation, only 55 mm, there are many days of rainb>16 rainy days on average.   Lourdes in July provides an incredible 10 hours of sunshine leaving lots of time to check out everything this beautiful city has to offer.

This historic town is located near the Prime Meridian.  Lourdes has been a popular tourist attraction since it was reported that Bernadette, a young girl who lived in the town, saw eighteen visions of the Virgin Mary.

Lourdes is actually the second most trafficked tourist location in France with many Roman Catholics making the pilgrimage there and many people of all religions coming to seek miracles and healing.

In addition to the famous religious attractions, every year in mid-July is the Equestria Festival

The Equestria Festival is a can't-miss for anyone who loves horses.  This multi-day event is the perfect way to spend your time during this beautiful month.

The Festival features over 300 horses and over 500 experts

In addition, there are artists on site with many exhibitions including an "equestrian world village."

Not only are there horses and exhibits but there are also exciting shows

Approximately 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the event this year.  So July is a great time to visit Lourdes because it offers an opportunity not only to see the historic religious landmarks but also to see this worldwide popular event.
