Lourdes is a small town that resides at the base of the Pyrenees in France, located near the Prime Meridian.

Since reports of Our Lady of Lourdes appearing on 18 separate occasions to a St. Bernadette (who lived in Lourdes), the town has turned into a very popular place for Roman Catholic Pilgrimages.

In addition to the Sanctuary of Lourdes, the main shrine in Lourdes, many Catholics making the Pilgrimage to this historic town visit the House of St. Bernadettehe same house that Bernadette (the girl who reportedly saw visions of the Virgin Mary) was living in when she experienced these visions.

This historic house has lots to look at including family pictures, Bernadette's bedroom, as well as her parent's bedroom and the mill and is a popular place for Catholics making the Pilgrimage as well as anyone interested in history.
