The winter months can get very chilly in Lloret de Mar and December is certainly no exception. During your stay, you can expect to experience cool temperatures around 13°C during the day, which drop to a cold 2°C after dark. So make sure to pack some warm clothes. December is characterised by slightly decreasing temperatures. The daily average high temperature drops from 14°C to less than 13°C in the course of the month. Only January is a little bit colder, while February has the same average temperature. Bars and Restaurants
Carmen's Café consists of a cafeteria, a restaurant, a terrace and a cocktail bar. You can enjoy snacks and hot and cold drinks on stylish couches in the beautifully decorated cafeteria. The restaurant serves delicious Mediterranean food, while the cocktail bar is a popular place for evening drinks.
Located on the slopes behind the centre of the resort, Mas Romeu Restaurant serves both lunch and dinner. The menu consists of classic restaurant food and typically Catalan dishes; specialties are the fisherman's paella, the Valencian paella, aubergines with shellfish, and green pepper or Roquefort steaks.
Things to do Lloret De Mar in December
After tourism, retail is the second-largest commercial activity in Lloret de Mar. You will be able to find all kinds of items and products in the city. There are no less than one thousand stores, most of them located on the streets behind the beachfront. So, shopping is an ideal activity on a cold December day. In addition to retail outlets, the resort also has its fair share of fairs and festivals throughout the year, where you can buy specialised items. A weekly street market is held every Tuesday on the Carrer dels Mestres and there is a municipal market every weekday on the Carrer Verge de Loreto and the Carrer Senia del Rabic.
Another suggested thing to do in December is treating yourself to a well-earned and relaxing visit to a spa. There are several spass and wellness centre to be found all across the resort. The Olympic Spa & Sport Club boasts excellent spa and sporting facilities, from a solarium, saunas and bathtubs to swimming pools, squash and tennis courts and a fully equipped gym.
