July is one of the warmest months of the year in Lefkada. The sun shines for an amazing 13 hours each day and there is virtually no rain to hinder you.
Daytime temperatures reach a sweltering high of 28°C (82°F), and fall no lower than 20°C (68°F) in the evenings.
This means t-shirts, shorts and sandals are the order of the day.
However, if you are prone to mosquito bites then some long sleeved tops made of cotton or linen would be a good idea for the evenings.
Lefkada town has plenty of bars and restaurants for evening revelry, and there are even a couple of nightclubs for younger holiday makers to dance the night away!
If you are visiting Lefkada in July you will definitely be spending most of your time soaking up the sun at one of the many beaches in the area.
Milos and Pefkoulia are two beaches very close to the village of Aghios Nikitas. There are some basic amenities at these beaches, and you can always head into the picturesque village to refresh yourself at one of the bars and restaurants.
Nature lovers can head into the hills around the village to explore the pine trees and olive groves, or take a ferry to Meganisi Island, famed for its extensive cycling and hiking trails.
Thrill seekers can head to Vassiliki beach and indulge in some water sports, with wind surfing being a particular favourite.
