Temperature
Summer is over but warm weather extends into autumn and the beach is still beckoning visitors. September has day time temperatures in the low to mid 30s with an average temperature of 25°C between the average high/low temperatures of 18°C and 31°C. The main difference is the night time temperatures that have dropped below 20°C for the first time in a few months. The evenings are still warm enough to spend some time outdoors but they will start to cool dramatically as winter approaches. You will still need to aware of the sun and keep up with sun screen and wearing hats this month as the chance of sunny day is high at 70%.
Rain
The average rainfall is still low at 10mm but you can expect a few more wet days. The chance of rain has increased slightly to 9% but the chance of a cloudy day is very low at just 1%. Average humidity is stable at 60% due to the still low rainfall. Warm weather and low humidity mean it is pleasant to be outdoors and a slight breeze from the sea makes it even nicer at the beach. Sunshine hours are also stable with 11 hours each day that will remain until they drop in November to 10 hours a day. Outdoor pursuits are pleasant with a slight drop in the high temperatures and it is still good weather for the beach.

The ocean may be getting a bit cool to swim in September but the resorts still have a lot of water sports for you to try such as jet skis, scuba diving, parasailing, kayaking and windsurfing.
Beach Number 4
Beach number 4 is a popular beach for families with changing rooms, toilets and other amenities. It is a clean private beach that will cost you a small charge to visit. The public beach is the largest part of Lara Beach but many locals use the private beach and pay a small fee for the extra amenities.
Mermerli Beach
If you are in Kaleici and want to visit a beach go to Mermerli Beach at the end of the walk from Hadrian's Gate. The beach is small and on the rocky shore of the Mediterranean. There are several cafes and restaurants and bars to choose from and it is a change of pace form the busy Old Town and Antalya.

The Patio Bistro and Restaurant is located at the Puding Marina Hotel near the Old Town and is a great place to eat when visiting Antalya from Lara. With great dishes from Turkey as well as international cuisines the food choice here is excellent. They make their own jams and marmalades and serve fresh seafood dishes such as shrimp, sea bass and calamari.

Things to do in Lara Beach in September
Termessos
A great day trip from Lara Beach is the tour to the ancient city of Termessos that takes you to the Taurus Mountains and the ancient amphitheatre. The city was a large inland trading town that as finally abandoned when an earthquake broke the aqueduct bringing water to the city. A National park has been set up around the town and there is a lot of indigenous flora and fauna in the area. Termessos is one of the best preserved ancient cities in the area and is a quiet and peaceful place to visit.
Antalya 4x4 Tours
Another interesting place in Turkey is the Cotton Castle or Pamukkale. Antalya 4x4 Tours run a tour to this fascinating place of limestone cascades with stalagmites, stalactites and water pools and tables. The formations have formed over hundreds of years from the limestone laden hot spring that has given rise to this interesting formation.
Karaalioglu Park
For a relaxing stroll in the park visit the Karaalioglu Park near Kaleici. You can easily spend a few peaceful hours wandering through the park and admiring the views of the Old Town and the Mediterranean Sea. There are playgrounds for the kids and sometimes carnival rides in the evening. You can get yourself an ice cream or some dried fruit mix and sit and watch the boats in the harbour.
