Things to do in Lake Maggiore in April
Cascate di Cittiglio
The Cascate di Cittiglio, or Cittiglio Waterfalls in English, is another popular natural wonder near Lake Maggiore and the town of Laveno. The falls are made up of three separate waterfalls that you can reach by groomed trails. Depending on the time of the year, the trails may be more navigable than other times. Near the first waterfall, you can find a picnic area where you can enjoy some rest before traveling on to the other two.
Paragliding
Not for the faint of heart, paragliding at Lake Maggiore can provide a literal birds-eye view of the area. We Fly Paragliding Company offers flights out of its headquarters just outside Laveno Mombello. During the tandem flight, you'll take off from Nudo Mountain and land back at the We Fly station. You're given a helmet with a video camera to capture your flight and take home to watch over and over again.
Lungolago di Angera
The Lungolago di Angera is the promenade walk along Lake Maggiore where you can enjoy people-watching and enjoying the gorgeous lake in April. Depending on the time of the year, you can find different special events along the promenade like spring markets or summer festivals. The promenade also has a beach, grassy lawn to enjoy a picnic lunch, and a playground for the kids to play.
