Just outside of Alicante is the well known Hotel Sercorte Porta Maris Spa. More of complex than a single hotel, the Hotel Sercorte Porta Maris overlooks the Alicante marina and nearby stretches of sand. There are 141 rooms in the hotel portion of this accommodation, as well as a wide-range of amenities and services. While being near the water is likely the best feature of the Hotel Sercorte Porta Maris Spa, it is also near the city center and very close to the new casino in Alicante.

Playa Flamenca

The nearby beach of Playa Flamenca is located just south of the busier town of Torrevieja. This blue flag beach has everything visitors could want or need, plenty of sand to spread out, restaurants close by and swimming conditions that are good for the whole family. Playa Flamenca's proximity to Torrevieja is both a blessing and a curse, as it allows for easy beach access from La Zenia and other surrounding cities but also can become incredibly crowded in the tourism high season. This beach is perfect for families, including those with smaller children.

Holidays should be breezy and relaxed. For a seamless dining experience, that lacks an pretentious atmosphere and complicated menu head to Munchies. Breakfast is simple, yet delicious, and the outdoor seating is the perfect start to the day. This daytime eatery does not even have a website, which is just the type of place Munchies is.

La Mirada

The newly renovated seating area at the seaside La Mirada is a great place for drinks after a day in the sand or a quick lunch before hitting the next beach. The sparkling Mediterranean Sea sparkles nearby, and it is easy to find yourself ordering another beer as the late afternoon slowly slips away.

La Finca de Eduardo's

Another establishment where it is easy to watch the afternoon slowly slide into evening is La Finca de Eduardo's. The upscale eatery is perfect for a classy lunch or Sunday afternoon.

Things to Do in La Zenia in June

Rancho La Ofra

The pleasant weather of June is the time to get outside in La Zenia. Horse riding through the countryside of the Costa Blanca can be a unique experience. The team at Rancho La Ofra provides a wonderful experience for families, couples or solo travelers. After a trip through the surrounding hills, visitors will come back to a bbq at the barn and a few refreshing beers, for those who are of age.

Bonfires of Saint John

Taking place on the night of Midsummer, which is the 23rd of June, the bonfires of Saint John are a fantastic and inspiring celebration across Spain. Each region has certain unique traditions when it comes to this night of fire, and some of the biggest celebrations on the Costa Blanca are found in Alicante, a short drive north of La Zenia.
