Perfect weather all year round, La Romana.

La Romana is one of the Caribbean's leading vacation resort areas.  Located on the south-eastern coast of the island of Dominican Republic, La Romana is a favourite among perceptive travellers.

Average temperatures in La Romana average between 29°C and 33°C but can be a lot warmer. It's always a good idea to check the current forecast of La Romana before you plan your La Romana holiday!

The weather conditions in La Romana are naturally tropical, like all of the Dominican Republic subjective heavily by the strong, constant trade winds from the north east. The rainy season lasts between May and November, peaking in October with daily heavy rain in late afternoons. Complete with impressive thunderstorms!

Visitors to the region should always watch out for hurricanes between June and November, but they are very rare. The hurricane tracks are far off the La Romana region but unexpected winds are known to drag them towards the island. Because the locals have become more familiar and more aware of the Hurricanes impact and places of substantial elevation, the town is now better adapted to dealing with the effects of the torrential storms.

The climate on the southern part of the country varies greatly to that on the north. The town experiences warm weather at night, anywhere between 19°C to 23°C on average. It is wettest from May to October, although it is always hot no matter how wet it gets. Average sea temperatures infrequently drop below 19°C and can soar to highs of 23°C; creating a serene holiday. This is the Caribbean so rain should be expected every day. The rain here is known as "exotic", so visitors will actually find themselves enjoying the effects.

The winter weather in La Romana is drier and tourists tend to enjoy much less rain between December and March. At the same time it is much less humid and although the region still gets clouds and occasional showers, they mainly fall in the hills above the coast.

Given La Romana's outstanding climate, there are stacks of entertaining water and beach-based outdoor leisure's to take part in. There are also miles and miles of gorgeous beaches, each of which have a little Caribbean paradise. An average of eight hours of sunshine every day, all year round, makes this a tropical paradise whatever the season.
