La Rochelle is the ideal holiday location for anyone who loves beautiful beaches, heavenly food and wonderful scenery.

It is the Western seaport of France which is situated on the Atlantic Ocean.

The port city is also internationally famous for the cycling marathon which is held in November of every year.

The Mediterranean climate makes the city a perfect venue to hold international festivals and events.

 Most of the tourists are attracted by the lovely sun of summer, but La Rochelle attracts visitors throughout the year due to the mild temperatures and pleasant Mediterranean weather.

April marks the beginning of spring. The temperatures start to rise, averaging 11°C (51°F), with the highest temperatures at 15°C (58°F) and the lowest around 7°C (45°F).

A two day International Kite Festival is held in the suburbs of the city.
