What's the Weather Like in Kuala Lumpur in June

Summertime is warm but not scalding in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia and one of the most enchanting metropolises in the world. As the sixth most visited city on earth, Kuala Lumpur reels in millions of annual visitors who come to experience the city's unique cultural blend, its very low prices and its unique entertainment scene. Kuala Lumpur is very clean and affordable, even during high season when it is at its busiest. June falls within the dry season and features some of the greatest weather of the whole year.

Temperature

In June, the afternoon temperatures reach an average high of 32°C, while the nighttime temperatures range around 23°C. Both those temperatures remain perfectly constant in the course of the month. The overall average temperature is 28°C, which is a number that is recorded from February all the way through August, roughly corresponding with the western monsoon season and the dry season.

The Malaysian sun shines for a full 8 hours each day over Kuala Lumpur in June. This number, too, will remain the same until the wet season begins againn October, that is. Things to Do in Kuala Lumpur in June

Petronas Twin Towers

Kuala Lumpur as a bustling metropolis is home to the world's tallest twin towers, the Petronas Twin Towers, which are an iconic symbol of the futuristic progress of Malaysia. A visit to the towers is an unforgettable experience and walking the overarching double-decker Sky Bridge offers a breathtaking view over the city. Without question the star attraction of Kuala Lumpur, the Petronas Twin Towers rise 452 metres above the city.

Tower One is the headquarters of the oil company Petronas, while Tower Two houses multinational corporations such as Boeing, IBM, Microsoft, Al-Jazeera, Reuters and Bloomberg. The towers themselves are not the only attraction in the area, for there are also beautiful landscaped gardens with walking and jogging tracks, a children's wading pool and a fountain, a large shopping mall and the Petronas Art Gallery.

KLCC Park

Those gardens are an absolute highlight as well, an oasis of green and peace in the centre of this huge modern metropolis. KLCC Park, as it is officially known, covers 50 acres near the popular Suria KLCC shopping and entertainment complex. The park features a large lake with a bridge and fountain that can shoot water 42 metres into the air. There are expansive lawns with picnic benches and shelters, wooded areas, meandering walking paths and sculptures. This is a great place to seek shelter from the June heat, relax in the shade with a book or simply have a wonderful picnic.
