April continues to be a good time to visit Kruger, South Africa with average temperatures of 23C and plenty of sunshine. However, April is the first month of autumn, so the weather can be a bit chilly at times, especially at night, so pack some warm gear. Bring some waterproofs with you, too, as the occasional downpour is likely to happen indeed, expect some 37mm or rainfall during this month.
Head out on the Napi Trail, and with any luck buffalos, white rhinos, lions and elephants will wander into your line of sight.
Make sure to stop by some archaeological sites, such as Masorini - some of them date back to the Iron Age. The BaPhalaborwa people lived here in the 19th century, developing an impressive metal working and trade centre. This site has been renovated since; now it's home to a museum, picnic area, so that the visitors will take full advantage of their visit in the Kruger national Park.
The Shangaan tribe welcome visitors, so there are several types of tours to local settlements available, some of which include a meal with the locals, dancing and drumming.
