Temperature

Sunrise Beach

Sunrise Beach spans almost the entire east coast of the island. This 2-kilometre stretch of beautiful white sand faces the direction of the sunrise and provides a magnificent setting for a morning dip in the warm Andaman Sea. Snorkelling can be done right off the beach, while many luxurious high-end resorts and basic bungalow resorts line the beach. October may be the wettest month of the year, but because of its sheltered location, Sunrise Beach, also known as Hat Chao Ley, is an enjoyable place to be all-year round.

The restaurant at the excellent Sita Beach Resort & Spa has arguably one of the very best dining locations on the island. It is situated right at the beach on the southwestern coast and offers great views in every direction. The restaurant prides itself for its delicious fresh seafood that comes straight out of the Andaman Sea every day. Additionally, the menu also features international cuisine and typical Thai dishes. The wine menu is extensive as well. Considering the variety of dishes and the spectacular location, the food is surprisingly affordable.

Thod Kathin

Thod Kathin and Chulalongkorn Memorial Day can be fun religious days to be in Thailand for. Thod Kathin is celebrated as the day the rains will retreat. In Bangkok, there is a presentation of the Monk's Robes, but in Ko Lipe you can expect activities at the local temple. Chulalongkorn Memorial Day celebrates the death of Rama V. He was a revered king and one worthy of celebrating on a national level.

Island Cruises

Adong Rawi Archipelago has numerous islands to visit on a boat cruise. There are also various dive sites within the archipelago to make an enjoyable dive holiday. Thailand often attracts divers, snorkellers, and those who love the ocean. Visiting temples is without question a fun thing to do, but most tourist trades are centred around sea adventures. The water temperatures are perfect for diving and swimming. 

Adang and Rawi are uninhabited islands in Tarutao National Marine Park, which is located a quick boat ride from Ko Lipe. Adventure-minded travellers may want to experience the islands and nature from up-close on a camping trip.
