Temperature
June in Ko Lipe, Thailand, provides average temperatures of 28°C, one degree cooler than the annual maximum of 29°C in February, March and April, and one degree warmer than the annual minimum of 27°C in July, September and October. Langkawi in Malaysia is only a short boat trip away, while Thai beach hotspots, such as Ko Phi Phi and Phuket, are easily reached by boat as well. Things to do in Ko Lipe in June
Eight Mile Rock
Diving Eight Mile Rock offers stunning coral reefs and diverse marine life. It's a 75-minute journey from the mainland and once underwater, divers should look out for potato cod, manta rays, leopard sharks, giant barracudas and whale sharks.
Eight Mile Rock is located eight miles south of the island and is one of the very few underwater pinnacles in the Andaman Sea. Covered with corals in all kinds of colours, this submerged pinnacle starts at a depth of 15 metres and goes as deep as 50 metres. It's one of the most iconic diving spots around Ko Lipe. Care needs to be taken, though, as currents can be strong around the pinnacle.
Thai Massage
Those who think that diving sounds far too energetic should consider a traditional Thai massage. There are plenty of resorts and places offering Thai massages on Ko Lipe, with a few places set right on the beach, allowing you to slowly drift off to the sound of the sea, while all your aches and pains get pummeled away.
