Kemer is a popular beach-side holiday resort that's located on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey in the area known as the Turquoise Coast thanks to its blue waters. The town offers beautiful natural surroundings and is just a short distance from the attractions of Antalya.

Like much of the region, Kemer has a typically Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters.

As April arrives, winter is well and truly left behind as the weather becomes more and more spring-like. In fact, it feels almost like summer.

The average temperature is 16°C during the month of April, and the average high temperature is a lovely 21°C. The weather outside is considered perfect for any activity at this time of year, especially during the day, though nights can feel a little cool with lows of 10°C. However, as long as travellers pack a few warmer layers, they'll still be able to explore the town in comfort after dark.

The waters around the coast of Kemer are also starting to warm up for the approaching summer, though with an average sea temperature of just 18°C, it is still considered by many to be too cold to swim in. If you want to take part in the water sports that are popular in the area, it is recommended to wear a wetsuit.

April sees the end of the wet winter season that dragged on into March, and the chance of rainfall has dropped significantly. There's just 45mm of precipitation and 7 wet days this month, so visitors can expect plenty of dry and clear days on their holiday.

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Kemer is famed for its year round sunshine with 300 days of sun a year, and in April the gloriously sunny days are in abundance. The month sees an average of 11 sunshine hours per day. This allows plenty of time for exploring the region of Kemer and soaking up the wonderful natural beauty before it gets too hot.

While the weather is almost summer-like, April is still considered to be outside of peak tourism season, therefore holiday makers can get some great deals on accommodation.
