Saudi Arabia's National Day is celebrated this month. Held on 23 September, the holiday is known as Al-Yaom or Al-Watany locally, and is usually marked with a day off work.
The Alshallal Theme Park is one of the most popular attractions in Jeddah. Located in front of the Corniche with stunning view of the Red Sea, the park has a 34 meter high roller-coaster. Other features include an ice-skating rink and a separate theme area for young children.
