July is the hottest month in Jeddah with very hot and humid weather making conditions rather uncomfortable in the daytime, indeed, people rarely go outside. July is characterised by constanthigh temperatures; with daily highs averaging around 39°C throughout the month and even reaching 41°C. It's advisable to stay out of the sun and leave venturing out to after sunset when the average temperature drops to a comfortable 25°C. Expect an average of 12 sunshine hours this month and an average sea water temperature of 31°C making the sea at least a bit more bearable than the shore!
Jeddah's most popular festival, Jeddah Summer Festival, is a highlight. Hot summer days are marked by this colourful event, which includes camel and horse races, fireworks, ballooning and discount sales prices on many different items sold in Jeddah's shopping malls and shops.
Jeddah's Floating Mosque is a must-see. Breathtakingly beautiful, this mosque seems to emerge from the sea and offers a stunning view at both sunset and sunrise.
Beit Nassif Jeddah or Nassif House is a historical place well worth a look. Built in the 1870s, it belonged to one of Jeddah's most powerful trading families.
