Jandia Beach offers ample opportunity for sunbathing, relaxation and swimming. Water sports are also popular, including scuba diving, fishing, jet skiing, parasailing, boating and sailing. The peninsula's beach runs from Costa Calma to Morro Jable reaching about 21 kilometres. Several sections comprise the beach. Playa de Matorral is an ideal location for families with children and is the location of the lighthouse. The sand is fine and light colored, and the sea is clear and shallow, making it an excellent location for enjoying the ocean and beach activities.

There are a variety of activities to choose from in Jandia. Pico de la Zarza, the highest mountain in Fuerteventura, provides stunning views of the island and several villages. It is about a five-hour walk, so food, sufficient water and sun protection need to be taken along. The Villa Winter is located on the southern part of the island in the basically deserted Cofete. It was once owned by a mysterious man who rumored to have had ties with German wartime leader, General Franco.
The area can only be reached by foot or on a rough road by four-wheel drive. Cofete, a relatively deserted village a nice drive from Jandia, is a great visit. It is one of the wider beaches and measures about 5 kilometres in length. The village offers magnificent views and historic sites.
