Ibiza is a small Balearic island found just under 80km off the coast of Valencia in Spain. Ibiza is also considered to be the world's best party destination as hundreds of thousands of people across the globe flock here during the summer months between July and September to soak up the party atmosphere.
Ibiza is also home to the finest Spanish and Catalan cuisine and boats some of the most exclusive restaurants in the world. However, if you want to try some Japanese sushi or freshly caught seafood, Ibiza has it covered!
Spanish
As Ibiza is so close to Spain it has adopted much of its cuisine. Tapas bars are very common in Ibiza as well as serving traditional Spanish dishes such as Paella (rice and a choice of meats or seafood slowly cooked) and Sofrit Pages (spiced pork, lamb and chicken with local sausage). However, if you have a sweet tooth, try some Ensaimadas (a croissant filled with cream) or some Flao (cheesecake made with honey and herbs). In the Balearic Islands Samfaina (Ratatouille) and Coca pastries are also very popular for locals, so it's worth having a try.
