What's the weather like in Hua Hin in September

The weather in September is not much different in terms of temperatures when compared to August.

Temperature

The average is 29°C (84°F), while the high end remains steady at 33°C on the hotter days of the month. The nights are warm at 25°C, but there is a slight discomfort coming from an increased humidity, which rises up to 85% on average. Air conditioning is now definitely an essential part of your sleep, unless you want to deal with oppressive dew points around 3am to 4am.

Sunshine Hours

The days continue to experience up to 7 hours of sunshine, and chances of sunny days drop back down to 19% on average, in the middle of what is known as the hot and significantly wet season in Hua Hin.

Rainfall

Fortunately though, this part of the Thai Peninsula does not suffer from heavy monsoons, so rainfall is expected to increase to only 100mm on average, spread over a cumulated 13 days.

Clouds

Chances of cloudy days also remain constant at 25%, while chances of rain jump to 31% on average. Much like in previous month, a decent mix of glorious sunshine, heat, clouds and cooling showers are expected to grace this area throughout the month. Precipitation is expected to increase substantially towards the third and fourth week in the lead-up to October, the wettest month.

Wind

Winds are still soft 1t 1.5m/s on average, particularly south-eastern with northern and north-eastern influences towards the end of the month.

Sea Temperature

The tides get bold and the waters will get slightly choppy in the late afternoons, but the sea temperature maintains a superb 29°C (84°F) on average, perfect for late night swimming and deep diving. When the sun is out, however, we strongly recommend that you have the SPF protection handy. It's not as intense as in previous months but it can still do harm to unprotected skin if overexposure occurs.
