El Criollo
If you are looking for a restaurant with a traditional Cuban atmosphere then El Criollo is sure to be of your liking. Good value, good service, good food this place really has it all. Particular favourites among holidaymakers are the breaded shrimp and octopus. If seafood isn't for you though then no problem, there are plenty of other meats on offer. The restaurant is located just 15 minutes from Guardalavaca.

Yet another restaurant that is a must when holidaying in Holguin is the Delicias Cubanas restaurant which has delicious Cuban food to offer. They have a lovely outside terrace area where you can sit and eat while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Things To Do In Holguin In March
Natural History Museum
If after soaking up the afternoon sun you feel like spending a little time in the shade why not take a look inside Holguin's Natural History Museum (Museo Provincial La Periquera). Learn about the wildlife of Cuba and view the exhibits but be aware if you would like to take pictures inside there is a small fee.

If the wind is picking up or you get caught on a bit of rainy day then another good museum to go to is the Museo Provincial La Periquera which is filled with plenty of things that you'll recognise from the past or have heard your grandparents tell stories about. There is also live dancing which is great to enjoy while resting your feet.
