What's The Weather Like In Holguin In February
Temperature
February is the last of the winter months in Holguin and sees the temperatures begin to rise to a very warm but comfortable average of 23 degrees or up to 28 degrees in the midday sun. February is also the month which sees the least amount of rainfall which makes it an ideal time to enjoy the beauty of a wonderful and peaceful city with much to see and plenty to do if you can manage to drag yourself away from the exceptional beaches.
Rain
The hurricane season in Holguin begins in September and ends in October and the rainy season runs from April to September. This makes February an attractive time of the year to visit for those that enjoy the milder climate and also less erratic nature of the rain and wind. The rainfall in the summer is up to 4 times that of the month of February which sees on average 35mm of rainfall spread across the whole month. That doesn't mean it will rain every day, in fact you can expect just 5 days of rain for this month, even then only for short periods of time.
Sea Temperature/Sunshine Hours
Holguin is a city in Cuba which sits at the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico, this leads to warm waters all year round which are pushed up from the equator. The difference from the scorching summer months to February sees only a 3 degree fall in sea temperature to a pleasant 27 degrees. The chance of a cloudy day and the chance of a windy day is 40% for each which is consistent to the rest of the year. You can expect 8 hours of daylight per day; this is a slight increase from 7 hours per day in January and just short of the maximum 10 hours of sun per day at the peak of summer.
