What's The Weather Like In Hisaronu In June
June is the start of the long, hot summer in Hisaronu with maximum sunshine hours, warmer seas, and very little rainfall. This is peak season for tourism, as people flock to the beautiful beaches of the Turquoise Coast. Expect crowds and prepare for very hot weather.
Temperature
The average temperature in Hisaronu in June is 23C, with highs of 30C and pleasant overnight lows of 16C; just cool enough to dispel some of the heat from the day. In fact, the highest temperature ever recorded in the area at this time is an absolutely sweltering 42C. It will feel a little fresher in Hisaronu thanks to less than 60% humidity and the higher altitude, but down in Fethiye and Marmaris it really will be quite unpleasantly hot by lunchtime.
It's a similar story across Turkey, with average temperatures of 25C and highs of 27C in Alanya to the south east, and average temperatures of 24C and highs of 30C in Izmir further to the west. The north of the country is slightly cooler year round, with average temperatures of just 22C and highs of 26C in Istanbul.
Sunshine Hours/Sea Temperature
The days are correspondingly long, with up to 13 hours of sunshine, and sea temperatures a lovely 23C. Perfect beach weather!
Rain
Summers in Turkey tend to be very dry, and it is unlikely that there will be any noticeable showers or cloud cover at all; Hisaronu sees average rainfall of just 11mm over 10 days in June. It will be somewhat wetter in the north of the country. Istanbul, for example, sees average rainfall of 30mm over 3 days in the month (about three times as much as in Hisaronu); still not very much, but comparatively Istanbul is usually slightly wetter.

Hisaronu Beaches For June
Oludeniz Lagoon
Oludeniz Lagoon is one of the most photographed beaches in Turkey. It's a National Park area and there is a small fee to enter. The beach is picturesque, white sand surrounded by a belt of pine trees. It gets very busy at peak times, and the clear waters make it the perfect place for a variety of watersports. It's further from the cafes and shops than Belcegiz Beach, but close enough not to be too inconvenient.
Katranci
Katranci is a uniquely beautiful cove with its fine sandy beach, about 17km from Hisaronu on the Fethiye to Mugla highway. You'll really need a car to get there, as it's a bit remote. The hilltops are covered with the typical Katranci red pines, eucalyptus trees and Cyprus acacias and the cove derives its name from the period where tar was boiled in large cauldrons under the shadow of the trees. The cove has the camping site, where Turkish holiday makers set up their tents. From May to October, the area has facilities like shower stalls, pergola-bar and scullery.

Dippy Dolly's
Dippy Dolly's serves lovely, traditional Turkish food. The fresh fish is excellent, and the service much praised. It's the perfect place for a long, leisurely lunch, or family evening meal, with reasonable prices and locally sourced ingredients on the menu.

Things To Do In Hisaronu In June
Goce
If you get bored of the beach and decide to venture a little further afield, Gocek is a favourite with sailing enthusiasts. You can hop onto a gulet, a traditional sailing vessel, from the harbour and take a leisurely trip around the bay, or find any number of bigger, modern vessels for a more extended cruise. There's no beach, so Gocek is much less developed and tends to be quieter than its touristy neighbours. If sailing isn't your thing, than just use your feet and spend a happy afternoon exploring the waterfront and admiring the boats coming and going from the harbour.
Patara Canoeing
If you're looking for a little adventure, you'll want to check out Patara Canoeing in the National Park. Canoeing is supervised by experienced guides, and takes you on a trip along the river Xanthos where you might just get to see some of the local wildlife like river turtles, wild birds and crabs. And to rejuvenate those tired muscles, you can even follow it up with a mud bath! All equipment is provided, and the activity is suitable for all ages and levels of experience.
Grand Ucel Aqua Park
Take a break from the summer sun with a trip to Grand Ucel Aqua Park. This water park is the largest in Fethiye and only a short trip away from Hisaronu. It is a great place for the whole family to enjoy a fun-packed day with six new slides, large swimming pool, Jacuzzi and kids' area. Tickets are cheap and kids under five get in for free.
Fethiye Market
Whilst in Fethiye, why not visit the local Tuesday market? It is three times the size of the one in Hisaronu and is packed with wonderful items to take home as souvenirs or gifts.
