What's the Weather Like in Heraklion in November
Rainfall
It is the start of winter in November in Heraklion, located on the northern coast of Crete. At this time of year the average monthly rainfall increases to 80mm falling over an average of 10 days which is the second highest in the ear along with January and February, just behind December which is the wettest month of the year.
Temperature
This month has an average temperature of 17°C which is 3°C lower than in October but 3°C higher than in December. During the month, you may still experience high temperatures of up to 19°C which is mild for the time of year. However, the temperature will dip in the evening to an average of 14°C which is fairly cool so a jacket may be needed.
Sunshine
An average of 5 hours of sunshine per day is enough to get out and about, but obviously significantly less than was seen during the summer.
Sea Temperature
With the low amount of daylight per day and the increase in rainfall, it is not the most popular time to visit this resort, but conditions are better than those in northern Europe. If you are visiting in November and love the beach, you will be happy to hear the average sea temperature is fairly warm at 21°C so a stroll along the sand and dipping your toes in is a possibility.

As well as the delicious wine, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery this winery has to offer and enjoy its calming and relaxing atmosphere.
Agia Marina Donkey Rescue
If you love animals then head over to Agia Marina Donkey Rescue which is a beautiful haven for donkeys. Upon visiting, you will be given information about these beautiful animals and the family's story of how they came about taking care of them. There are 18 donkeys in this sanctuary in total and each one has their own name. They are extremely gentle and so you can pat them and there are also other animals around such as geese, peacocks and goats which children will love.
