Things to Do in Heraklion in May
Saint George Apanosifis
A great place to visit with the weather being so warm is the Saint George Apanosifis which is a beautiful and peaceful monastery. It is a lovely and calm place to relax and take in the breathtaking views that surround it. As well as the monastery, there is also a Greek church close by that is good to visit too and to take some photos.
Cathedral of St. Minas
Another great place to go and see is the Cathedral of St. Minas which is absolutely monumental. Inside it has mesmerising paintings and a ceiling that you could look at forever. There is that much to look at inside, you could spend a whole hour in there paying close attention to the finer details. Once you have finished there are small shops and plenty of cafes in the square for you to enjoy a coffee.
