What's the Weather Like in Heraklion in March
Temperature
March is still just about in the winter season in Crete, with an average temperature of 13°C, the second lowest of the year. You may not be able to enjoy days out round the pool or at the beach this month, but there are still plenty of other things to enjoy such as visiting the stunning cathedral, cultural museums and the beautiful wineries. Spring is definitely approaching with high temperatures of up to 16°C but evening lows drop to 10°C, meaning a jacket is still necessary. With the average sea temperature being a relatively cool 17°C, it's still not the best weather to hit the beach yet as most people will find the sea too cold to swim, but a walk along the sea-front can be pleasant.

If you're looking for a good restaurant with local cuisine then try the O Kafenes Tou Kagiabi which is a Greek restaurant which has great food and a great atmosphere. The Koukiofava, Keftedakia and Omeleta me Chorta dish comes highly recommended. You will certainly not want to miss eating at this popular restaurant because of its amazing atmosphere and excellent service. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you have a very enjoyable meal.
Tarantella
If you love the comfort of Italian food they we recommend eating at Tarantella which is an Italian restaurant that is lovely to eat at. It is close to the waterfront and all the staff speak English. The food here is excellent as are the staff and the service. There is a good variety of food to choose from and because of its location, is a great place to people watch.

If you love to discover the culture and history of your destination when on holiday then a great place to visit is the Kera Kardiotissa Monastery which is absolutely amazing inside. The monastery is situated near the top of a hill and so the views are just as enjoyable as the frescoes inside.
