June is a particularly warm month; its average high temperature of 31°C (88°F) is the second highest average temperature of the entire year, which is also true of its average low, which is 23°C (74°F).
June is also, unfortunately, the runner-up with its' wetness, averaging 218mm over the month which puts it behind only August for the most amount of rain in a given month.
Every cloud has a silver lining though, and while June may be rather wet, it does also enjoy an average of 10 hours of sunshine per day, and the sea temperature is a very nice 28°C (82.4°F) which once again scores the second highest temperature of the year.
The temperature of the sea is not important to everyone, but it's quite a big deal in Half Moon Cay because it has so many facilities and activities geared around the water.
There is, for instance, an eco-lagoon tour, a beginners' snorkel tour, air-conditioned beachfront cabanas to rent, deep-sea fishing, aqua cycling, windsurfing, parasailing and scuba diving. Activities guaranteed to satisfy even the most cynical of beachgoers!
In addition to that, visitors can enjoy the 9 miles of beach on offer, so finding a secluded spot will be no bother at all whether you want to relax under a sun umbrella with a good book or wade into the warm sea for a refreshing swim to cool off after a lengthy spell under the hot sun.
For those who would rather not go in the water but still enjoy the beach, there are activities to keep you satisfied as well. Basketball, shuffleboard and beachvolleyball are there for the sports enthusiasts and beach chairs for those who would rather just watch.
