What's the weather like in Gumbert in June

June is the best month to visit Gumbet if you want to experience the best of both worlds, i.e. sunshine and very warm temperatures, but less in the way of crowds, and heat which isn't overbearing. On top of this, prices for holidays at this time of year tend to be slightly lower, because the school holidays aren't yet in full swing, and as a result prices are more affordable, yet weather is fantastic.

Temperature

This is obviously the month before peak season begins in Turkey's resorts, so typically you can expect everything a summer beach holiday should involve, and with an average water temperature of around 23°C, you can take part in the many water-sports and swimming fun on any of the beaches around the resort, or neighbouring towns. You are not going to experience rain in any way, shape, or form, so this shouldn't interrupt your beach time, as this month only experiences around 10mm of rain throughout the month, to the degree where it doesn't noticeably affect any days whatsoever throughout your holiday. Great news!

Sunshine Hours

On the other hand, the sun makes a huge appearance every single day of the month, with around 13 hours of bright sunshine per day on average, so a sun tan is a definite remember that sun cream!

Temperature

We mentioned heat, and the mercury is certainly on the rise now summer is in full swing, with an average temperature of around 25°C, which rises to an average high temperature of up to 30°C, especially towards the end of the month when this is more likely. Evenings are now very pleasant indeed, and you may be requiring air conditioning at this time for a comfortable night's sleep the evening low only dips to a balmy 20°C, meaning you certainly won't be needing to pack a coat.

Put simply, this is the ideal month for visitors to grab everything a summer holiday should have, with the perk of a quieter resort compared to the following couple of months.

Gumbert Hotels in June

Being close to the main nightlife, especially the Bar Street area, is a great idea if your holiday is based around beach fun in the day and neon-lit bars at night; luckily there is plenty of choice, especially now that June has arrived and the tourists are starting to arrive in their droves.

Nagi Beach Hotel is literally on the beach front, and you can choose a half board option to take a little of the pressure off your budget whilst you're away. The section of private beach has plenty of sunloungers for your day's sun-soaking, as well as a large pool and sunbathing terrace. The on-site restaurant also serves traditional Turkish and international meals.

Alternatively, the Wow Bodrum Resort is a fantastic choice for those wanting an all-inclusive break, right on the beach. Again, this is close to everything but has a more cut-off feel than some of the other hotels around it. There is a private pier for total luxury, giving you complete rest and relaxation.

Paradise Apart Hotel couldn't be closer to Bar Street if it tried, which makes it an ideal budget base for those particularly interested in partying. There is an on-site restaurant and bar, and you can choose from self-catering or B&B for your board basis.

Gumbert Beaches for June

The great thing about Gumbet is that although you can easily just stumble to the town's central beach, there are plentiful others around it, and one which draws many visitors, not least because of the name, is Kargi Beach, also known as Camel Beach. Yes, here you can ride on a camel! This is another great beach for families, because the kids will love the camel ride element of it, but aside from that it is a beautiful, safe, and sweeping beach, perfect for relaxation for the day, away from the bright lights of Gumbet itself.

Located around 19km away from the resort, you can easily get there by bus, or alternatively there are many tour operators who run day trip excursions to the beach itself.

Bars and Restaurants

June may not be peak season just yet, but Gumbet is certainly buzzing in terms of nightlife by the time this month arrives. Fantastic weather, beach-life, and vibrant nightlife is what many people visit the resort for, and it certainly ticks all those boxes! Smiley's is a very popular spot for drinks, dancing, and entertainment, and a bar that many people continue to visit throughout the entirety of their holiday that speaks for itself!

You will need food before you hit those 2 for 1 drinks offers however, and in that case China Town Restaurant offers you a huge menu of delicious Chinese food at fantastic prices. Alternatively, Sandy's British Pub & Café will give you a real taste of home. This is a small café, somewhere people tend to head to early in the evening for a meal, however portions are large and prices again are low; this is a particularly good choice for families with picky eaters in tow!

Things to do in Gumbert in June

Now June has arrived you can be assured all the tourist attractions are now open and in full swing, which means tour operators and excursion vendors are operating many different days out and activities to enjoy. A jeep safari is a great way to explore the countryside around Gumbet, as well as being a fun day out, with water fights and 4x4 adventures. You head into a quiet village, usually beginning at Uyku Vadisi, also known as Sleeping Valley, and enjoy breakfast, before ambling along a bumpy trail around the region. You also get swim breaks and interesting stop offs at authentic villages. Many tour operators have variations on this, such as Ago Travel. Now the weather is hotting up, but not yet scorching, you can go out and see the area without feeling like you're melting!

Alternatively, a cycling tour could be a great way to see the area. Many companies offer adventure activities, such as Lukka Outdoor. You can enjoy mountain biking, canyoning, sea kayaking, and trekking, to name just a few. This is a great way to do something different, and enjoy the beauty of the natural areas around the resort, which often gets forgotten in favour of the beach and partying fun.

One of the most popular activities to enjoy in the resort is the Dreamgirls Show. This is always a busy night out, so you need to book your ticket ahead of time. Full of glamour, this a comedy drag show, featuring artists such as Tina Turner and Whitney Houston. Expect cabaret fun, and you can do the night with or without dinner included. During peak season the shows run on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, with the evening beginning at around 7.45pm. This is a must do, and a hilarious night out, perfect for warming up your evening before hitting Bar Street later on.
