The typical climate in Guardamar can be described as almost perfect. Summer
Summer temperatures in Guardamar are generally very dry. Climates will mostly range between 25°C to 35°C during the day and will rarely ever drop below 15°C, even after nightfall. It is not ideal to travel in the month of August as around this time temperatures reach their peak at 30°C or more. Fortunately the climate will normally benefit from cooling sea breezes that help lower the scorching temperatures. Because Guardamar's humidity is low visitors and residents won't feel the temperature is as high as it really is.
Winter
In comparison to northern Europe the everyday climate in Guardamar is very mild and pleasant. Most winter days in Guardamar consist of blue skies and sunshine but the temperatures however, do differ greatly in the winter months. Some dayâs climates can reach over 16°C and locals will be walking around in shorts and t-shirts, on other days the temperature can drop to 6°C and the surrounding area will feel very cold. With the exception of when Guardamar experiences a âGota Friaâ, this occurs when the climate drops suddenly and the area is prone to severe flooding and heavy rains, the region still experiences low rainfall throughout the winter months. This also creates massive tides and waves that in the past have damaged Guardamarâs beautiful beaches.
On the whole, Guardamar experiences limited rainfall and as a result the area enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year. In addition to this the picturesque, pink lagoons are also home to hundreds of wild pink flamingos. So if your ideal holiday is sitting on a large fifteen foot balcony drinking a Pinacolada or looking across the beautiful pine forest to the sea whilst the hot Costa Blanca sunshine glows down; Guardamar is the perfect vacation.
