What's the weather like in Guardalavaca in April
The spring is really beginning when April comes around, and that means higher temperatures throughout the month.
Temperature
Get ready for average daily temperatures of 24°C, all made possible by the 9 hours of sunshine which beam down.
Guardalavaca becomes an even more popular holiday destination at this time of year, with the rising temperatures helping to make it very hospitable indeed. Average highs can go up to 28°C, while lows only fall to 20°C. That definitely qualifies this as a hot month, so you will want to make sure that you have your sunglasses and suntan lotion handy every time you step outside of your room.
Rainfall
Cuba is also fairly dry at this time of year, before the wetter season comes into play. 58mm of rain will fall over 5 days in this month while that might make it wetter than March, it is less than half of what will fall in May. You might want to check the weather forecast on a daily basis, though you will be more interested in what temperature it is going to be than whether it is going to rain!
Sea Temperature
The average sea temperatures will also be rising for the first time in a few months, going up to an impressive 27°C. You can be sure that the best is yet to come, though there are certainly other areas of the coast that might be a little warmer. A day trip to the nearby Puerto Carupano will give you a slightly hotter climate, though be warned it rains there much more often!
This month is a great time for spending your daylight hours out of doors. You will find pleasant temperatures, a good excuse to tan, and plenty of opportunities to explore without being hindered by the rain that falls during the summer months. You can also head into the sea when you are ready for a dip, with no worries about it being too cold to do so.
April sees the weather start to warm up a little and the sea temperature enjoy 27°C ,which is why it is a great time to go deep sea fishing. Fishing is a sport that has been popular with tourists to Cuba ever since keen fisherman Ernest Hemingway moved out here, and you can learn to fish for the first time here if you have never done it before. You will see sailfish, snapper, grouper, tuna, and barracuda.

The coral reefs found off this beach are fascinating and will provide you with endless hours of wonder as you explore them through the water.
There are three hotels off this beach, so it may be a little busy; on the other hand, it is one of the most beautiful in the area. It is called "the Emerald beach" because of the deep green of the water, which meets soft white sand at the shore.
Bars and Restaurants
To stop off for a cold beer or cocktail, try La Begonia. This little local spot is loved by residents, which tells you a lot about the quality. It's known for a lively atmosphere and the chance to enjoy a night out like the Cubans do.
For seafood, it has to be La Finquita Allegre. They also host a Cuban pig roast, but their signature dish has to be the Blue Crab Carousel. Clams, lobster, shrimp, octopus, plantains, and pork are also on the menu.
Cheap beer, friendly staff, and delicious food are all to be found at La Loma. Crab and marlin are on the menu, with everything cooked fresh and at low prices. This is not a fancy restaurant by any stretch of the imagination, but the cheerful atmosphere and the simple, good food makes up for that.
