What's the Weather like in Grand Cayman in March

Temperature

March in Grand Cayman Island features pleasant temperatures, similar to those of other two Cayman Islands and the Dominican Republic. While daily lows usually remain around 24C (75F), the highs rise up to 29C (84F). Temperatures breach these levels only on rare occasions, dropping to 21C (70F) and rising to 30C (86F). Morning temperatures are, in general, around 24C (75F) throughout the month. Average daily highs rise from 28C (82.4F) at the beginning of March to 29C (84.2F) by the end of the period. The coolest time of the day is around 6:15 am; the hottest part of the day is usually between 1 pm and 1:30 pm.

While preparing for your holiday on the Cayman Islands, you should pack a sweater. This may prove useful because of cool winds that sometimes reach the island. In this particular case, night temperatures might go below 20C (68F).

The average sea temperature around the island of Grand Cayman is always pleasant in the course of the year. In March, the water surface temperature is constantly at 27C (80.6F). Only at the beginning of this period, it tends to go as low as 26C (78.8F). Any deviation from the aforementioned values is very rare.

Extraordinary Weather Occurances

There is a certain possibility that northwest winds may reach the largest of the Grand Cayman Islands. These winds tend to make the waters north and west of Grand Cayman restless. If that occurs during your stay, anchor your vessel in a secure harbor to avoid damage. Also, keep in mind that big waves might splash debris on coastal roads.

Guests have free access to a nearby fitness center, while business travelers may use the business center. Tennis courts are also in the vicinity. The airport is some 10 minutes away by car.

Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach

Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach is another 3-star hotel, conveniently located in regard to the airport and the beach. Its rooms have air-conditioners, and kitchens or kitchenettes equipped with fridges and microwaves. An outdoor pool, a hot tub and room service on request are some useful amenities. The on-site restaurant serves Caribbean and international dishes. The airport is a 5-minute drive from Comfort Suites.

Ocean Paradise

Ocean Paradise is a 4-star property, located on Rum Point Road, on the northern side of the island. It is a beachfront hotel with a lush garden, with rooms providing sea views. Free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and air-conditioning are complimentary amenities. Guests also benefit of free parking. Ocean Paradise has accommodation units located on the beach, too.

 

Beaches for March for Grand Cayman

Cayman Kai Beach

Cayman Kai Beach is a popular beach next to Rum Point Beach. Besides fine white sand, palm trees and turquoise waters, you are likely to find conchs and other seashells on this gorgeous beach. It is ideal for swimming, and a number of water sports are available nearby. Evenings are particularly enchanting around the beach.

Grand Cayman Public Beach

Grand Cayman Public Beach might be hard to separate from famous Seven Miles Beach. But, if you are after sporting events, children's playgrounds or party spots, you can't miss it. The beach features white sand, gradual entry into the water and necessary facilities, such as restrooms and showers. In general, waves are small, which makes Public Beach of Grand Cayman ideal for all ages.

Spotts Beach

Spotts Beach is the right spot for vacationers preferring less crowded beaches. This beach, located in Savannah, southeast of George Town, maybe isn't one of the most beautiful in the Grand Cayman resort. But, it is one of the best places on the island for examining turtles that come to shallow waters between 4 pm and 6 pm to feed on sea grass. Note that Spotts Beach doesn't have beach facilities and features strong underwater currents.

Morgan's Seafood Restaurant

Morgan's Seafood Restaurant is a pleasant dining establishment in the Cayman Islands Yacht Club. It overlooks Governor's Creek and is a few minutes by car away from Seven Miles Beach. Besides seafood, the restaurant prepares meat specialties, including burgers. Cocktails are also available. If you arrive for dinner, book a table on the waterfront deck, from where you can have a romantic dinner under the stars. The restaurant operates daily from 11:30 am until midnight.

Agua Restaurant & Lounge

Agua Restaurant & Lounge is an upscale eatery serving international specialties. Italian, Malaysian and Peruvian dishes are part of the culinary offer of this vibrant place. Here, you can dine seafood, fresh salads, meat and pastas among other dishes. The restaurant accesses 7 Miles Beach. Agua opens daily at 11:30 am, and closes at 1 am on workdays (1:30 am on Friday) and at midnight during weekends.  

Tukka Native Fusion

Tukka Native Fusion is a reputable restaurant, located on Austin Connolly Road (Gun Bay) on eastern coastline of East End. The restaurant specializes in Caribbean and Australian food. It stages bird feedings every day at 5 pm, and has happy hours on workdays from 3 pm to 6 pm. If you are a fan of fresh seafood, stop by on Friday. Then, fishermen deliver the catch of that day and you watch your order prepared in front of you. The restaurant operates daily from 11:30 am (8:30 am on Sunday) to 10 pm.

Seven Miles Beach

A stroll on Seven Miles Beach as the sun sets is one of unmissable things to do along the Grand Cayman coastline. The sky achieves a very special combination of colors that reflect from the water surface. One thing is sure you will witness an unforgettable sunset. After that, you can pay a visit to any of many beach bars and have a cocktail.

Camana Bay

Every Wednesday from noon until 7 pm, you can have a great shopping experience in Camana Bay, near the marina of the same name. There, you can buy farmers' products and examine artisans' crafts. In general, the Camana Bay Market is a display of everything that the resort of Grand Cayman produces. Among other goods, jewelry, skincare items, flowers and produce are available for purchasing. Plus, the market features live entertainment, various demonstrations and dining options.

Biking

Biking is another great activity you can enjoy all over the largest island of the Cayman Islands. There are routes available for all fitness levels and moods. And it is a very rewarding experience since you will be able to discover various beauties that escape motorized people. There are many bike rental companies in George Town, including George's Watersports and West Bay Loop.
