Sardina del Norte

Montana de Arena beach is ideal for those who don't mind a trek to a beach that is secluded and peaceful. This discreet beach is also well known for naturists who make the most of the remote location. The sand is a beautiful golden shade and the water is calm, making it ideal for swimming.

La Caleta

A restaurant that never fails to please with its light, fresh menu is the La Caleta. Italian in name, the restaurant also infuses its menu with selections that have an authentic and unmistakable taste of the islands. Much of the menu revolves around tapas and seafood that is caught off the shores of Gran Canaria so the food is fresh.

The restaurant's hours can work in your favor if you plan ahead. They are open later than many others in the area but they are closed on Mondays. The sharing paella here is well recommended, as is the lamb dish served and the bone, with a side of delicious potatoes.

Dedo de Dios

Another popular restaurant on the island is Dedo de Dios. Many visitors are fond of it because of its great value and range of traditional Canarian cuisine. The grilled sardines and the steak dishes are tasty and affordable. 

This eatery is off the beaten path and away from the other restaurants and stands out in more ways than just that. They also offer generous portions when compared against other establishments in Gran Canaria.

Piccadilly Music Pub

Regarded as one of the best music bars on Gran Canaria, the Piccadilly Music Pub is a fine place to spend your night dancing. Each night there is a variety of entertainment such as karaoke, shot quizzes and games to take part in. The dance floor can accommodate large crowds if you come with many friends and there are also tables and chairs to rest or take in a cocktail between dances.

Things to do in Gran Canaria in November

Roque Nublo

To fully appreciate the beauty of this island, send a day trekking up to Roque Nublo, through unforgettable canary forest lands, ravines, volcanic and mountainous terrain. The excursion includes a return pick up, as well as insurance and a lunch with water. This excursion is well worth booking, and is a great way to explore more of this incredible island.

Diving

For those wanting to take part in some diving, head to Top Diving Gran Canaria. Four daily trips head out from Puerto Rico Harbour, and trips cater for beginners as well as more experienced divers. For those who are interested, PADI qualifications can also be gained here.

Paddle Boarding

Another popular water sport is paddle boarding, and this can be done through Pro Surfing Company. This is a great activity for the whole family (children as young as 8 years old and up), and lessons are provided by fully qualified life guards and surf instructors. 

Iglesia de San Juan Bautista

Visiting the Iglesia de San Juan Bautista is a perfect way to discover more of Gran Canaria's culture and architecture. The church was opened in 1917 and although technically a church, it is often referred to as a cathedral due to the size.

Horse Riding Trek

Thanks to the all year round favourable weather, many outdoor activities can be done within any month. If nature is your thing, book a horse riding trek. One, two or three hours of riding through mountainous, or seaside landscapes, the instructor will navigate you safely through the unforgettable scenery.

All levels of experience are welcomed, and even if you've never take part in horse riding before, the instructors will make sure to teach you the ropes before heading out on trek.
