What's the weather like in Gozo in November?

Winter certainly starts to appear in Gozo in November, but it's not all doom and gloom. Though November is the windiest month in Gozo, there is still a good chance of some warm weather. And, thanks to the increased amount of rainfall in October, the landscape becomes much greener and lusher, exposing a completely different side to the island.

Temperature

Average temperatures do fall in November to approximately 17°C. But with average highs of 20°C and lows of only 14°C, the climate is still very mild when compared with other European resorts such as Tunis in Tunisia and Pozzallo in Sicily.

In recent history, highs of over 25°C have been recorded in a number of years in November, with the warmest November day being registered in 1998 at a very welcoming 28.3°C. And with an average of 8 hours of daily sunshine throughout the month, there is still a lot to enjoy.

Rain

November is one of the wetter months of the year in Gozo, though does experience less rain than in the previous month. However 80mm of rain are expected to fall throughout November, with the chance of any single day being rainy estimated to be 48%.

Sea Temperature

Sea temperatures of 22°C ensure that only the most hardened of visitors are now attempting a daily swim. But with only an 8% chance of a cloudy day, visibility for walking, hiking and touring the island is still very good.

Wind

Wind speeds of up to 10mph and the chance of a windy day in Gozo reaching 27% in November means that there is more movement in the air than is usually experienced on the island. However, this does provide a welcome relief in a period when humidity levels can reach one of their highest points.

With consistently warm weather for this time of year across Gozo and Malta as a whole, the November climate offers a welcome relief to visitors and locals alike.
