April sees Golden Sands begin to get much warmer as spring arrives at the resort.
Many of the hotels begin to re-open and it begins to get busy.
There is still a likelihood of experiencing rain in April, so although t-shirts and lighter clothing would be ideal for a fine day, you should also pack a light mac and some warmer clothing for the evenings.
Outside the resort you should definitely visit the Golden Sands Nature Park, located just behind the resort. You can hike or cycle through the 3000 acres of forest, or take a jeep safari with an English speaking guide.
The rock monasteries and the ruined Golden Palace at Perperikon are also must sees to learn more about the history of the area. The pretty village of Balchik is also worth a visit to experience a more traditional way of life and to visit the Historical Museum, with its many exhibits of archaeologicalfinds from the area.
Back at the resort, sporty holiday makers will enjoy the array of activities on offer, such as basketball, tennis, volleyball and bowling.
For golf lovers, the past few years have seen several new courses open.
In the evenings there are a high number of bars and restaurants to choose from, and younger holiday makers can head to one of the many nightclubs open late enough for you to dance the night away!
And if you're feeling really lucky then there is even a casino!
For affordable accommodation on a budget, the Hotel Lilia is an all inclusive resort that sits right on the beach.
