March in Fuerteventura
Review by: Diana
Weather
Windy. Temperature was between 16 and 20 but felt more like 14 because of the ongoing strong wind.
Some rain, one sunny day out of seven :(
The wind is really annoying. It made us feel cold all the time. Luckily we brought enough warm clothes.Holiday
Chilled holiday, except I got cold on the 3rd day of our holiday, but still tried to visit as many places as possible.

our winter holiday
Review by: georgina dixon
Weather
We been going to caleta de fuse for the last 6 years in December for two weeks and we had beautiful weather some days it can be windy and as for rain...it doesn't last long and can usually walk in it and still be dry. A jacket or cardigan is necessary at a night time if you are going out.
Holiday
We loved Fuereventura the first time we went which was in 1992 and went to Coroleco which is 45 minutes from the airport and back then it wasn't so built up and was lovely and the people were friendly.
We've been back once and found it too big for us now. We wanted something quiet which we found with Caleta de Fuse and it is only 9 miles from airport and it such a lovely place. The beach and harbour is shaped like a horse shoe lovely hotels there and plenty of restaurants, the ones we like is The Great Wall of China, The Angus Steak Bar plus The Dog and Duck is very well priced.
I would recommend this place to anyone .Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Weather
Have been for the past 4 years and have only had the occasional drop of rain and that has mainly been either early morning or the evening, but not enough to spoil our holiday.
Holiday
Absolutely and totally brilliant. We go year after year. This will be our 5th year. We love the island and the lazy way of life.
Jandia is nice and quite. If you want night life then this is not the place for you. If you require a bit more life then you should try Corrallo.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Weather
Very hot in July, was there during the World Cup football, very friendly and very good in all and also very nice along the beach and cafes.
Going back in November.Holiday
Stayed in Barcelo Jandia Playa Hotel it was very good and the staff were very helpful.
We have been there 5 times now, and we are always looked after very well. The beaches are very clean and most hotels have there own private beach. Nightlife in the hotel is good.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Brilliant
Review by: Anonymous
Weather
Amazing.
Been for last 10 years over every month except July, all year round best weather.
One or two showers during their "winter months" average rainfall (mostly showers) 12-16 days PER YEAR.
The odd day of more persistent rain, but overall, nothing to create about.Holiday
Always excellent.
Weather plays a big part.
Have a small bungalow in Caleta de Fuste. Less than 10 minutes travel from the airport, so no long transfers.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

My holiday in Fuerteventura
Review by: Andreea Ioana
Weather
The weather was perfect all the time. It is all the time a specific island wind but this is very nice especially for lovers of water sports.
In the morning is sometimes a bit cloudy but the sun always pops up and does not disappoint.
Sometimes it rains and is cloudy but is just fine how to succeed to take a break so you don't burn your skin.Holiday
I've been in Fuerteventura for several times. A couple of times in April and May and then in November.
The island's beaches are fabulous especially lovely dunes of Corralejo and areas for kite and water sports.
The food is very good and varied. There are many types of restaurants and also you can buy anything from the shops.
I love that you can eat fish and fresh seafood, which the Mainland is not so easy to accomplish (especially at my home).Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Review by: julie neilson
Weather
I went in November 1995 and then again in November 1996 and i am going back in July this year it was hot and sunny every day no rain what so ever its a little windy on this island though but it did not affect the temperature at all.
Holiday
the sand dunes, beaches and crystal clear blue sea and the cloud free blue sky. its a very relaxing island as it has no big night clubs just a few bars and restaurants but you can still have a good night out. its like been in paradise really. the apartments and hotels are nice with an outdoor pool terrace with sunbeds and drinks and snack bar and a reception area with staff in case the guests require assistance.

Fantastic holiday in Fuerteventura
Review by: kathryn
Weather
I went in December in 2012 for two weeks and the weather was fantastic.
I got a great tan and the evening temperature was just great, not too cold but not roasting hot either.Holiday
My holiday was great although it was a little sad to discover that holiday complex break inns are becoming more frequent.
Although I would advise that if you get drunk and leave your doors open or unlocked then like the UK your open to opportunist burglary's.
As for muggings, none take place but again insurance companies seem to be taking a hit by bogus claims.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

best beach lovely breeze
Review by: Andrea Weitzel
Weather
The weather was glorious: sunshine each and every day,
We stayed at Costa Calma for the third year running and the beach is just the best.
If you want a relaxing break then this is the place to go; if you want more of a busy place, then maybe not as this is still unspoilt and pure.
Jandia has a good shopping centre, only a short bus ride away. the breeze was most welcomed as so hot and the breeze is warm- a pure delight.Holiday
We have been to Fueterventura three years running now and will keep returning for our relaxing holiday.
My husband and I both have very busy lives and this is our time together, so we insist on the best places, at a most reasonable price.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Corralejo
Review by: Anonymous
Weather
I have been to Corralejo three times and intend going again at end of October 2012. The last visit was in June and, as you would expect, the weather was glorious. Previous two visits were in October and we were not disappointed. A light cardigan at night, if you tend to feel the cold.
Holiday
Every time we've been and we step off the plane we just feel so relaxed. I'd read this about Fuerteventura, but didn't know if it was for real, but it really is. We've stayed in three different apartments and have decided to return to Dunas Club near the harbour; so handy with lovely staff.

Our Holidays
Review by: Graham Cheadle
Weather
Hot, windy, quiet and relaxing; lovely wide long beaches, safe bathing. Just remember to take or buy plenty of sun cream - please note that even if the sun may be hidden by a rare cloud, you will still burn from U.V Rays, not forgetting the wind burn!
Holiday
Fuerteventura is the best place we have visited in Europe: the cleanest, warmest and cheapest place we have found. Very highly recommended. We doubt that you will find anywhere better!

My holiday in Fuerteventura
Review by: Maggie
Weather
The weather was most unusual for the time of year, apparently.
We had cold weather (14C) all week with winds that lessened from gale force at the beginning of the week to breezy at the end.
Out of the wind, it was warm enough to sit in the sunshine, but it was a case of finding the right spot.
All the locals apologised for the cold - they felt it more than us!
We found everyone very friendly and helpful, with the whole island like one big village.
We'll definitely go again - but will check the temperatures first!Holiday
We stayed in a friend's beautiful villa, overlooking the sea.
We ate out in various local restaurants and found a large variety of restaurants to suit all tastes.
We hired a car and toured most of the island, which was fascinating although not too many highlights.
Normally, we'd have just lazed in the sun, but it was too cold for that, so we explored instead.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

our holiday in caletadefuste fuertaventura
Review by: Joeanne Hamilton
Weather
The weather was excellent.
Very warm but there was a breeze that kept it cool.
At night it could turn a little colder was was very comfortable.
We always wear a high factor as you can be deceived by the wind factor at times.Holiday
We have already booked up again for August.
We have found a safe, friendly, holiday destination that ticks all the boxes.
Our children love it and the people who live there are helpful but not pushy.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Oasis Village, Corralejo
Review by: Shirley Smith
Weather
Weather was very very hot most days, but the breezes made it feel comfortable. It actually rained a couple of times but only drizzle and was not a problem. Nights were a little cooler, could not fault it, I dont think you can fail to be impressed with the weather in the Canary Islands.
Holiday
Staying at Oasis Village, it was very average, not nearly enough staff around, entertainment quite amateur, daytime activities practically non existent. Beaches around Corralejo are very very nice, exploring rock pools is good, some very nice restaraunts (we were all inclusive but ate out a LOT). Shops are varied and plenty of them.

villa holiday caleta de fuste
Review by: Elaine Palmer
Weather
Our first holiday to Fuerteventura, was greeted with surprise, what a lovely relaxing island - that was what the holiday was about to lie read and chill all week.
The weather in June 09 was glorious, a little cloudy in the mornings, but the sun always came through.Holiday
We stayed in the Vila Rosario on the Turicomplex in Caleta de Fuste, and were pleasantly surprised - a large two bedroom villa with everything anyone would need, the private pool was just great.
We went down town in the morning, about half a mile for breakfast and to pick up the newspaper, it was cheap to eat breakfast out, lots of competition on the prices. Picked up a light lunch from the supermarket and headed back to our villa for the day.
I read 5 books that week, and got an amazing sun tan.
We ate out every evening trying different restaurants, I can't say any one stood out, but we was never dissapointed.
There was a bar with live acts every night, which we always ended up at, some very good entertainment.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Holiday in April
Review by: Anonymous
Weather
The temprature was brilliant, not too hot that you could'nt lay in it and there was a lovely breeze.
Most mornings it was pretty cloudy but this blew over by about 12noon.
Its pretty chilly of a night in Fuerterventura so take a jacket!Holiday
Brilliant, stayed in Oasis village hotel on a all inclusive. unlimited snacks drinks and icecream was brilliant!
We originaly booked to stay in Club Las Olas Hotel, but after one day I arranged to speak to my rep because the hotel was so bad!
The rep quickly moved us to Oasis Village hotel and we had a excellent time.
The only thing that i disliked about the hotel is that birds kept flying in the restaurant and landing on the food.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

My holiday in FUERTEVENTURA
Review by: Jane Marvell
Weather
The weather was fabulous, Not too hot that you couldn't sit (or lay ) in it. If it was cloudy early morning then the sun burned thru with avengence. Windy, but that is typical Fuerteventura.
Fab all over sun tan in two weeks.
Great holiday.Holiday
We stayed at Hotel Villas de Sol, just outside Corrallejo so you do need a car to get into Corrie unless you are very keen on keep fit. They are the best accom we have stayed at on the island . Totally self contained and private. Spacious and very clean. If you want night life then you need to go into Corrie.
It has tv. dvd player washing machine sound centre hairdryer iron and board.
So you can cut down on what you take.
Having been to Fuerteventura a few times we are fed up with all the touts along the main street trying to drag you into restaurents. It put us off going along there.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

Fuerteventura in Winter
Review by: Anonymous
Weather
Ubiquitous cold wind, downpours, showers, some sun, managed to get a tan in 7 days but only by stripping off every time sun came out from behind a cloud. Sky was constantly in motion.
Great sunsets. I saw the most amazing rainbow whilst doing Quigong on the beach just outside the hotel.Holiday
Best bit of holiday was the hotel. Reluctant to name it in case we go back and it is booked up:) Oh, OK - it was the very attractive Hesperia Bristol, most northerly point of Correlejo. Lovely staff, all requests attended to, if you don't like the location of your well-equipped apartment you can change at any point during your stay, subject to availability.
Spotlessly clean, a safe-feeling enclosed well lit triangular complex with three interlocking pools and beautifully maintained gardens, a tiny supermarket and a laundry. A different entertainment every night if you wanted - we competed at rifle-shooting and stroked pythons of various sizes, gave performing parrots and karioke a miss. They have a restaurant in the riad-style reception building, but we did self catering (amazing supermarkets in town) and eating out.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?

My Holiday In Fuerteventura at the Jandia princess
Review by: Stu Rushton
Weather
We had 7 days great weather with only 2 afternoons which clouded pver.
The temperature was around 72 degees all week but when in the sun and out of the wind felt much warmer. got a great tan.Holiday
We have just returned from our 3rd winter break at this hotel.
Once again the whole holiday has been great.
We were welcomed with a bottle of Champagne in our room as returning guests. Not a great deal in an all inclusive hotel but it shows some thought has gone into it. We requested (by e-mail) a room in a certain area of the hotel and got exactly the one I asked for. (7301 great views of sea pool area and coast line towards sotavento beach.)I posted a review of this hotel 2 years ago and was amazed when I read some of the reviews on this and other sites regarding the refurbishment of the pool areas. I found that it was done in such a way that it caused little or no problem. There is so much space around the pool area that you can be away from any work area as these were closed off areas anyway.
This hotel is open all year round so how people expect this routine maintenance to be carried out is beyond me.
The food is varied and very good it offers a wide range and caters for all tastes.
People have also commented on how the Germans seem to dominate the place, they are the majority but are not any different than anyone else on holiday there.
There is an area at the bottom end of the pool areas that is sectioned off and is designated as a naturist area. There is also a sauna and steam room for guests in this area. No one bothers if you go in there keep you shorts or bathing costume on, but some protocol is expected.(sit or lie on a towel with feet on it as well, to absorb sweat) I feel this should be stated at the welcome meeting to save any embarrassment.
The walk to Jandia is fantastic along the beach. You can feed the chipmunks along the way.
Jandia is a resort that caters mainly for Germans but a bar with a beer is a bar with a beer.
The entertainment in the hotel this year was better than last with a Drifters tribute, Tropicana dancers and a comedy Acrobat troop that were good, we gave the Animation teams efforts a miss and enjoyed a beer in the Coco Loco Bar (thanks Eric)
This hotel is great for anyone looking to chill out and relax for a week. I would not think it would suit teenagers looking for some lively entertainment, but for a winter break it fits the bill to a tee.Recommend Fuerteventura to others?
